This happened with TW2 all the time. There only needs to be one thread per game.

We are the sons of Kaer Morhern and we need only one thread and one voice for it is our manifest destiny to rise above the seas of bourgeois dross that has dragged our beloved medium into the slough of despond, with keen eye and stern countenance we set our course into the future of interactive verisimilitude and cry out our refrain: For the Witcher, cdproject and the coming of the patch, plough 'em all.

We shall endure until the earth is ground into dust and stars burn out for we are the future and our coming heralds the advent of extinction for the unworthy, WE CANNOT BE DEFEATED.

I think I should cut down on my intoxication of a weekend.

Quality above quantity.
And I must say the discussions I've had in this thread have been the best I had in this site since months.

Or you could consider a career in the theater. I'm getting flashes of Shakespear's Henry V.
But, this post is "full of win", worthy of Henry V's rallying cry at the battle of Agincourt.

or at the siege of Harfleur

Blothulfur is Henry V

Superb character design in TW2, some of the best I've seen.

I share the same opinion too.. Unfortunately it was shortlived.. now that she's blind and she well deserves it according to most people.

Indeed. If I had any photoshop skills, I would put Roche´s ..what is it...hat.. on some of younger Clint´s picture. Sadly I dont :( Damn, I love Vernon, such a badass he is.

I admit Phillipa has her charm, and it does play in with her manipulative **** character quite very well.

Any more details on the new patch? After reviewing the change log again I'm pretty surprised there isn't a single mention of fixing the bomb throwing bug or input lag. These are the biggest issues I have with the game. the inventory is largely fixed now through mods.

Bear in mind that those might not be all the changes.

I recently started playing Alice: Madness Returns...and after a few hours of bashing my head against the combat in that game I loaded up a save before the big battle of Vergen......and by God if differences aren't like eating cooked meat compared to eating raw meat. You gain a whole new level of respect for the game after that kind of thing.

Are you mean bug where you cant do **** cos all buttons freeze or *input lag* that wont break action that you started ie you hit sword attack but in middle you change your mind and you want to block and character wont do it.

First is real bug
Second is intentionaly made (confirmed by devs) - if you complain try swing real sword and try in midle of blow change action/stance to blocking - its impossible.

The translations are IMO kind of questionable, but the stories themselves are good. There's definitely places where you're reading it and thinking "this would probably have been clever wordplay in Polish."

Actually, 3 of them are but one book somewhere between them got left out for some reason. *shrugs*
As for your question, go for it. I consider the Witcher book series a cult.

Still haven't finished the game, enjoying it so far.

I do hawever, have two minor gripes:

-  Triss and some others talking all modern-science like about cells and mutation and genes. WTF?? It felt like I jumped from LOTR into an episode of Dr. House. Jarring

 - the two sides choices. It's a re-hash of W1 choice. Again, you got Scoia'Tel vs. some human kinght group. Again you got two leaders who have some redeeming traits, and are likable enough, but are also total wankards who done some bad mojo and hate eachothers guts. Wouldn't it be nice to have 3-4 groups..or to be able to form our own or something?

I'd like to be able to make at least one MAJOR choice in the Witcher and leave satisfied! As it is, no matter what choice I make I'm not satisfied.
Ironicly, choice 1 leads to automatic choice 2 (Saskia and Henselt) which is far less amgibious.

My beef isn't with the animations or the pacing of combat, but rather with an inconsistancy in responses from Geralt. Sometimes he blocks imediately, other times he doesn't. And there is no need to have a full second or two after he stops running before he does anything - your opponents are under no such restrictions, just look at how fast drowners move.

Sorcerer's in the witcher world are not the superstitious wand weavers of other settings, they use their powers to learn more of the world around them and its workings. Personally this is what i'd do in their place so i'm not perturbed by it.

The two paths are fairly much expanded versions of the order and squirrel paths but here they actually have consequences and make for utterly different experiences, could we do with more yes but i'm happy with what we got which is more than most games offer lately.

As for the choices thing, it kinds of depends how you approach it I usually play my Geralt neutral as all hell and always seeking the lesser evil but being constantly frustrated by the crap that he is exposed to but there are moments of happiness and little glimpses of light at the end of the tunnel that shine all the brighter because of their rarity such as Seherims last wave to the white wolf as he sails away and cedrics bittersweet last farewell from his home.
