Can't say I like the way the setting is going. I used ot think of it as a low-magic setting..but now with magic doing all kinds of stuff and shapeshifting, talking dragons... Still a good game.
Didn't really have problems with that in BG2, since it's a setting I never took very seriously in the first place.

I don't have photoshop, nor the skills to use it, and I am almost done with my blog anyhow, but those pics are awesome!
Blue Stripes look badass.
Thanks for sharing!

I actually read that "review", it basically can be summed up as..
Combat is too hard make it easier in next game so i can play it. Two things about that review i find depressing ; According to the poster the combat in TW2 was too hard for them and should be made easier for the next game and secondly that this is apparently the target audience that BioWare is aiming for...after all he/she gave DA2 10/10.
Ofc you also have people who do the same with DA2, however i have noticed that the low scores its been getting voice criticisms of the game that have been brought up many times before.
I didnt like DA2 either but i did what most normal folks do i left that forum after posting my disappointment and left the people who do enjoy the game to discuss it with like minded individuals.

I played The Witcher 1 for a while, but I found the system a bit too complicated for me... And I wasn't really used to the information overflow (that's how I saw it at that time) you had in the journal.
I found The Witcher 2 a bit more open. While there was less variety in the combat system (no longer 3 ways to attack someone (group, heavy and fast)), it was good enough for me to get the feel of combat. And now that I feel properly introduced to the combat system, I'm going to try The Witcher 1 again.
On top of that, TW2 showed me that this "information overflow" in the journal was actually more about quests that had connections with each other. For almost each aspect of a quest there was some sort of mini-quest. That instantly made things clearer.
Another good thing of TW2 is that it isn't afraid to show body parts where other games seem to be "afraid" to show that extra "something-something". Personally, I don't mind that these things aren't always shown off in other games. Sometimes, it is even better not to. But CD Projekt does win points with me on this one. It isn't afraid of the media and clearly shows this. I like that.
It's an interesting gaming series. I'm looking forward to playing TW1 again, that's for sure.
And if there's ever going to be a TW3, it'll be a pre-order for sure!

Love it or hate it? Why the extreems? Why can't it be both? Or something in between?
Frak extermists! Frak the fanboys and frak the haters. No real sensible man should fall into either of those traps.
Objective view of everything and a certain emotinal detachment are necessary for proper criticism.
Hence why I'm not a "true fan" of anything.

Thats unavoidable, I think, but really I find this of no consequence.
The game will pick up or at least keep selling good by word of mouth. IT IS A GREAT GAME. It WILL find its audience, because the people are there...
It isn't a 10 million audience of course, but my guess is that the PC game will continue to sell, and the X-box will do pretty good as well.

Played through it in 4 ~ 5 days. Wished it had the same amount of chapters like TW1.
