A question...
Do you guys have any tips for gaining high levels in TW2? So far, I only managed to reach a level somewhere between 27 and 29 at the end of the game. And I'm convinced I can reach higher levels than that.
XP from kills decreases as you gain level but quest rewards stay the same (so try to kill the monsters before you complete quests). I suggest heading to caves under Flotsam (Malena quest) as soon as you've prevented the hanging in chapter 1 and bought the grapeshot recipe. The Nekkers are easy to kill and you can get up to level 10 in about and hour and a half. After that you don't get enough XP to make it worthwhile. That should be enough to ensure you hit max level on Iorveth's path (you get quite a bit of XP during the seige of Vergen that you don't get with Roche), on Roche's path you might want to farm Rotfiends when you first enter the area (not sure if you can still do this with the new patch).
I would avoid drowners (if you're playing on insanity), if you haven't maxed out position they can one shot you with a flanking attack and they can leap further than Geralt with maxed footwork. They also don't make much noise. I remember one loss, I thought I killed all of them in the swamp with the bandit hideout and I let my quen drop so I could regen my stamina, next thing I know one leaps at me from behind, gets a double hit and it's game over.
