It's not explicit, it's not porn, it's just a pretty realistic scene in a dark settings game done with lots of class, care and humor too. At least the gamer ladies here on BSN said they loved it.
And it has to be chosen to happen by the player too.

Hmmm, Shadowfang, ask her if she would skip watching one of the greatest movies ever because it has some very artistic sex scenes on it. If she would, well, you know what to do.

Maybe they could watch it together.

@KoP: Nice blog btw. Very well done! How long did it take you anyway?
I like how it's presented in particular. I wasn't thinking about it much while playing the game but that blog really made the world of Witcher feel more expansive.
Ty for doing it btw. Quite the fun read.
Thanks!
I took me 2 days or so. The diagram in particular was a pain in the ass haha

From my experience, giving Iorveth his sword results in Triss talking to Philippa, while helping Roche ends up with Triss talking to Dethmold. It's pretty arbitrary though I don't mind, just wanted to be sure what triggers it.
It seems that those helping Roche / Iorveth are assumed that they want to join him later on. I am going to try a playthrough where I help Roche then side with Iorveth to see what happens.

Just want to see Iorveth's reaction and if the barge quest changes in some ways.

I know, didn't mean that would change.

Barge doesn't change except for 2 dwarves showing up instead of Iorveth. You can't ( ofc ) sneak your way on to the barge so the only thing you can do is all out assault or all out assault with some stealh before it.

You still get Dethmold in that room and nothing changes besides that.
I got Philippa on Roche's path as well as Iorveth's...

Iorweth: A lovely show, Gwynbleidd. But tell me, was it worth it? An uneven fight, and certain death await you anyway.
Geralt: I could ask you the same thing.
And:
Dethmold: Aaargh! You´ve broken my arm! Do you know its worth, you son of a ****?!
Roche: Now its worth ****, like the rest of you.

Since when is it Yorveth instead of Iorveth? In Polish it's even Iorweth.
How Much Difference Does it Make?
I'm impressed with my Magic built Geralt. But then, I was impressed with my Alchemist and with my Swordsman before that... The game is pretty balanced as classes are concerned, I think. I can stun anything, even the Draug with a might Aard! hehehe
But my ultimate Witcher will prolly be something like this:
Witcher2: Every Ch3 boss in seconds (Hard)

What can I say? I didn't foresaw that Iorveth would fight with Roche, while it's kinda obvious that they will. Didn't felt like reloading.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

Anyways, I decided that my next blog is going to be about describing Letho in his quest to accomplish his mission. His dealings with several factions shed more light on the political intrigue of the game, so I thought it would be good to explore.
Please don't hesitate to share remarks, comments...etc I may forget a few things, so if you want, you can post the things you find interesting about Letho's mission.

Not judging you
I'm one of those "keepin'-****-fair-since-< insert year here >" guys.
I mean, Iorveth vs. Roche with only Roche using a blade is a bit unfair. Then again, never bring a knife to a fist fight...
You know how it goes. Good guy fights bad guy with knife. Knife gets slammed out of hand of bad guy and is then out of reach, or the good guy snatches the knife and uses it to kill the bad guy.
Not implying that Iorveth is a good guy (though he has ideals that meet mine).
It's all about ideals in the end here, though.

I'd say he's probably the cleverest person in the entire game because unlike the cunning Shilard he is exploiting the psychological weaknesses of his enemies without their realisatiion rather than pouncing upon their all too obvious situational and emotional weak points and exploiting them. It makes me wonder whether the school of the viper studies more than merely the physical aspect of monster slaying and ventures into the territory of first knowing thine enemy.
It also makes me wonder if in their reliance on the powers of magic the sorceresses have somewhat lost touch with the more human but equally effective uses of coercion and manipulation, there is no doubt that they have mastered the art of not so subtle sexual innuendo and intimidation but that is like a sledgehammer compared to the tools favoured by Letho and Shilard and there are always men like Radovid who sees quite clearly through such obvious wiles and forgets not the wrongs done to them at the flashing of pretty eyes or an expanse of pale flesh.

In addition to his size and looks, I think what Letho also exploited is his Witcher status. Mages usually look down on Witchers as simple monster slayers with pathetic magical abilities compared to theirs. And with an antiquated world view (something Geralt says in TW1). Letho does say that he kept whining on how the world is unfair to Sile. I see this as Letho faking naivety and an antiquated world view.
And it does seem that the Viper School is more esoteric, due to its seeming fascination with the Wild hunt.

I'm left wondering though whether Letho had recieved orders from the emperor of Nilfgaard to investigate the suddenly re-appeared white wolf because if Letho knows of Geralts abduction and involvement with the hunt i'm betting Emhyr will also know and be seeking knowledge on ways of dealing with or containing them. A wise monarch will not tolerate such powers running rampant amongst his plans and peoples, and I think we can definitely say the emperor seems to be an intelligent man.
