You stunned the Draug with an Aard!?
Well, I'll let you know when I get there... I'm hoping that with max intensity, damage, etc, it can be done. (read about it) =}
P.S.: Can't exactly stun him but Aard is a great way to break his block and make him open for incoming sword blows! =) (I have maxxed aard, maxxed sign damage and maxxed intensity... all my talents on Magic path except 1 for reducing damage from backstabbing)

Makes me wonder whom Emhyr trusted with his authority in assassins of kings, it's probably the soldier bloke who is introduced later and will without a second thought order Shilards death but it would be interesting if Letho was the actual leader of the task force.
Yeah but Letho ultimately fails to carry out his orders to completion. Helselt lives. Only one possibility for that not to happen and it's not up to Letho.

I think it was Shilard and Renuald. I got the impresion that Letho had a lot of leeway and was not directly involved with the Nilfgaardian emissaries. I think they operated seperately, and only cooperated in Act 3.
Letho didn't even seem to cooperate with them when it came to Triss.

It would make more sense for independant cells to be operating without their spheres of influence intersecting but able to procure assistance and information when needed as most modern intelligence operations are planned but I never saw Triss's return as being that important to either Emhyr or the Nilfgaardians. Let the witcher have his skirt, we have already won kind of mindset.
From all i've seen of Nilfgaard though I can see them operating on a mission command structure where the senior military leader in the field always has the power of decision.

And Shilard was quite adamant to have Triss. Most likely to extract names and use her as evidence of the lodge's actions.
I personally am leaning more towards Letho operating in an independent cell. A lot of what he did was improvised by him personally, including the revelation at the Loc Muinne conference.

Anyway, about Ves lying, there's no way for us to be sure about what would that be, is there?

The Witcher 2 - The Conspiracy Theory

Thoughts?
I think Geralt says she's lying because Ves said "they laughed and let me go" while the flashback shows Henselt coercing her into submission. Geralt says "there's no way Dethmold would let her go" as suspecting Ves had to pay a price for her freedom. That's my opinion.
(there's a bit more information with the video I'm editing right now but it will take some time to upload... The Royal Punch! =)

That she allowed Henselt to force himself on her to save her fellow Blue Stripes and that Henselt lied...well that's different to me and certainly no rape.
To me I can't really feel that sorry for the Blue Stripes. That Roche did not involve them directly would matter very little in that kind of era ( nor would it matter today for that matter as they would still be imprisoned for a long time and tortured, though perhaps not executed outright - depending on the country - ).
To be completely honest it did not factor in at all with my decision to kill Henselt, that I was disguisted by what he said when I asked him about raping Ves....well that's a different matter, but an eye for an eye means **** to me.

CD Projekt also said it would show a video on “major DLC” that will form
part of an “upcoming, as-yet-unannounced update” for the PC version at
gamescom.

And the delay in the X-box launch can only be for the better. The game will be nigh perfect and will avoid the head-to-head competition with Skyrim and Uncharted 3.
I hope they dont f*** up with the advertising campaign (THQ?). If they choose the obvious path of selling this with images of gore and chopped off limbs+boobs all over the place,
They should underline this as a mature story with plenty and diverse story-paths to roam through. There is a console market for that, I'm sure; if not, "Heavy Rain" wouldnt have been the success it was...

Even better than DLC would be an expansion pack. Maybe this talk of "major" DLC is a cover for it to really surprise us. /wild speculation

Doesn't surprise me the 360 will be released sometime next year. I never really believed it would be ready for a Holiday 2011 release. I hope this "major" DLC will add more monsters to hunt down. One thing is for sure, I'll wait for this update before I finally complete another run through the game. (I keep delaying it with every new announcement, lol).

I personally refuse to believe two things: That Henselt could rape Ves ( seriously can you imagine a woman like her just taking that? She could easily kill Henselt in my mind ) and that she allowed Henselt to force himself on her just to save her own skin, again it's something I can't imagine her doing.
That she allowed Henselt to force himself on her to save her fellow Blue Stripes and that Henselt lied...well that's different to me and certainly no rape.

You are mean =
Yes, there are rape by coertion. Put a knife in the head of some woman's child and see if she won't do anything you want. It is still rape! She said to Roche that they laughed and let her go. Flashback showed us differently. Geralt says she's lying because there's no way they would just laugh and let her go. I still think he knows she had a price to pay for her life. He doesn't know she did it trying to save the Blue Stripes from death but was lied to.
And no, not my canon still. Well, I keep many saves from other runs but I'll still do it again. Might be the same path as this but not with a Magic path witcher. It's fun and all
@Slimgrin - Aard works so well on Gargoyles... I could stun all of them... made it so easy but it is still impressive. hehe
