Plus it's free. No weapon packs for $5. No extra armor or gear if I rush out to buy a Dr. Pepper. No petty micro dlc crap. They're just giving it away for free. And they continue to improve the game.

I may have b*tched in the beginning about how unfinished the game seemed, but they get mad props from me for following through like this.

i was considering doing another play through since i havnt played this game in a while but now with this 2.0 thing coming out im going to have to put that off so i can enjoy it even more after 2.0 gets released
Oh wells at least Deus Ex Human Revolution gets released 2 days after my b'day 25th Aug in Aus. so i'll get into that and then The Witcher 2 err 2.0 afterwards woohoo

Lucky bastards, i have to wait for a console version, this game killed my gaming laptop and pc, i can't run above low 1280*720 settings. 

Won't be getting new hardware in the next 2 years.

Wel i'v got DE:HR Skyrim GOW3 and Batman AC to play as i wait, they said something about a 2012 first quarter release, will pick up the collectors edition as i've sold the pc version.

Well honestly it must not be very good then? Considering your on low and at 1280x720 res...

GPU is top of the line for both, pc got 560 GTX, but CPU is old, it's a 2.8 ghz i3, it's too weak to run the game, and if i want to run a AAA cpu, i'll need to change up my motherboard ti get full speed.
This game is quite cpu heavy. i can run it on medium, but i'll have to settle for 30 fps if i do. 

Atleast that was waht i had before the patch came out, i traded the game in as soon as i heard about a console version.

Core really does help. Running on a HD 5770 and a Q6600 even though
it's old I get a great frameate and I play at 1920x1200 res. You don't
need the most powerful CPU but the game really beenfits from a lot of
cores.

I'm just happy for the gameplay improvements. Gameplay has been my strong issue with TW2, can't wait for the new difficulty though. Hard is fun but when vs big bosses, the battles where too easy so hope this fixes that.

I posted a thread months before the release of TW2 pitching the idea of challenge trials, or an arena mode like Oblivion has, so getting this is a special treat for me. And it makes sense. We need to be able to practice combat outside of the story. I'm sure we'll get more story based content in the future. Also, I was hoping they would include a difficulty level that was as hard as insane, but allows us to save. These sorts of additions, along with technical improvemments, are exactly what the game needs.

Me too! The technical improvements should make the Arena Mode more fun than it would be, if AM was released now I imagine.
With what they've teased us with so far, it does make its release date seem pretty far away heh. 
I'm all in for story-based content as well, but I'd prefer it as an expansion(aside from more content in that I am starting to feel like i should pay for something at least!) rather than DLC, granted it would be nice in either case.

Heh, would you prefer it as Letho assassinating Demavend, or what Letho did alongside Yennefer, TW1 Witcher assassin, Serrit & Auckes after the encounter with the Wild Hunt, or what Letho is going to do after TW2? (assuming you spared him of course)
