Ulous, you're on crack. Seriously. Bioware charges for different suits and weapons, Capcom charges $15 for alt outfit packs, Epic charges for re-skins on weapons for GOW. But when CDPR releases bonafide content - both story related and a new challenge room - you're saying they couldn't have charged for all that!?

I've seen it all. Maybe they should just milk gamers like everyone else to gain your respect.

I'm not bitter about it though, this is just business and gaming for you, but getting into a price war to validate the game isn't relevent here.

Remember! Highlighting how bad another game or developer is does not make your opinion anymore valid, it's a bit like putting your face next to a Baboons arse and saying "Hey look how handsome I am", simply because your face is more aesthetically pleasing than the Baboons Backside.

@Ulous
Validate the game and my opinion?  On this subject?  That's for insecure folks that feel that they have to defend a game that they like that others criticize, because they don't have confidence in their own personal tastes, and they have to justify it to others and themselves.

On the contrary, there's no need for me validate it, nor am I attempting to or planning on doing such.  My post was satirical, and I found it to be humorous.  If it ruffles fanboy feathers along the way, then so be it.

Well this is fair enough and worthy of praise, but lets be honest here? And like someone has already said on this page, there is no way they could have justified charging for any of the DLC they have implemented so far, well not in my opinion anyway.

Because with other developers/publishers, the main concern when fixing price points on DLC is how justifiable the price is for what you get.

 Seriously, stop, my tummy hurts from laughing.

Yes but when have I mentioned other developers DLC being worthy of being payed for? We are talking about Witcher 2 DLC and I personally would not have payed for any of the stuff they have given us for free, in the same way I wouldn't pay Capcom for an alt outfits DLC, like Slimgrim and others you are trying to make something seem better by comparing it to something bad, or what you percieve to be bad.

Maybe the free DLC is to make up for the rushed final chapter of the game? Image IPB

I didn't feel it was rushed. I felt it was shorter but not rushed. Now Panchea in Deus Ex was rushed and Eidos had said this also.

So the dude from Germany who beat Witcher 2 on Dark mode in less than hours won himself a CE version of the game signed also.

Triss: " Do You know why Eldan and Cymeril stayed together and resisted all? Because their statues...just statues."

Geralt: " Triss..."

Absolutely brilliant dialog. It cuts right to the core. That's what I get for turning down Triss.

Well that's one way to discourage piracy.

@ Snfonseka: I wonder why Deus Ex HR isn't in the category...the only real competition for TW2.

Not voting. I'll consider it next year after the 360 version is released and other anticipated RPGs.

Playing this game on consoles should be a crime.

I think so too, but the fact is consoles will get a far more polished and complete version than PC did with vanilla. If there's one company that will do their best for each platform, it's CDPR.

But come on not everyone has the PC to play Witcher 2 in all it's glory. I'll be buying it for 360 and I managed to get some friends interested after letting them play on PC and at least CDPR will give us anything the 360 version has like the  CGI cutscene.

Go to hell nay sayers, the game has controller support, I have yet to see a game with such where the developers at least weren't considering making a console version.  They haven't made a console game before, right?  It's new to them, so it's probably taking longer than other developers to make the 360 version.

WB is publishing TW2 in North America. I see this as a good thing.

I would agree. I'm able to get excellent frame rates for most 2010-2011 games, but even on the lowest possible settings, Witcher 2 runs like a slideshow for me at times. (Maybe the game is better optimized for NVIDIA GPUs?)

People with weaker graphics cards who already own an Xbox should probably consider getting the console version.

Yeah, I just found out that it was only the dungeon area that things were smooth.

I tried the prologue stuff again, and it was dragging in the one where you have to fire the ballista. I got the latest update, so I can't select the dragon level at the beginning, I didn't need my other saves so I deleted them.

So... huh, the GJA results are in.

www.pcgamer.com/2011/10/21/pc-cleans-up-at-the-golden-joystick-awards/

RPG:

Winner: Fallout:New Vegas
Runner Up: The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Third Spot: Dragon Age 2(????)

sadly, i predicted this.
TW2 is right now a PC exclusive, while FNV is not, therefore it probably has more followers.
I Still Believe TW2 would have won had it been on the consoles during this, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Still though, FNV is pretty good, i prefer TW2 but if i had to see it loose against anyone from that list, it's FNV.

At least i'm grateful it didn't lost to DA2, that would have pissed me off.

EDIT: oh yeah, and NV has guns.
Meaning that it will automatically get something.

That sucks, the only categories where my vote won was Fighting, Mortal Kombat, and Strategy, Starcraft II.

How the hell did Witcher 2 get second place? It has sex scenes, something that Fallout: New Vegas doesn't have.
