Just finished my 4th playthrough...on Roche's side (3rd time is the charm)
Also is it just me or is the game a million times easier now than what it was during the release? Finished the game on Hard this time around and it was more or less a walk in the park...on my 1st and maybe even on 2nd playthrough I sometimes struggled on normal difficulty.

that's because the game is no longer filled with Cheap enemy tactics.
i remember the first time i played, i got knocked out multiple times in sequence.
that's fixed now, for example.
but of course the v2.0 update fixes a ****load of stuff.

Ooh, messing around with my settings, i realized i didn't need such a huge draw distance. And the Motion Blur was actually too much, with how fast the camera moves, I can't see anything or tell when I want to stop circling the camera around. Hell, objects are already blurred when I move the camer without it.

Yeah, since downloading it and playing a bit, I noticed that enemies weren't blocking my every move.
IDD, the Kaedweni general in the mist kept doing that ALL the time. Was frustrating as hell. Now I can pretty much dodge behind every enemy's backside and start whacking.
Loading times seem horribly long now...not that they were very short for me to begin with but now it sometimes seems to take ages to load a save game. Might be my computer though....given that ever since Steam decided to do something to my DirectX it now shows as 8.0 (LOL) and bunch of other crap.

I'm playing on dark mode in the main game and I think it's the hardest difficulty, but as always buffing up with the right potions makes a huge difference.
As far as new content, there will be more added to the game when the console version drops. And it's pretty much a given there will be a third installment.

TW2 isn't multi-platform. Consoles rule the day.
Running around with a large arsenal of weapons and causing mayham is more popular than a deep storyline.

I ended up siding with Geralt's companions this time around (sorry Roche) as i felt the choice was more Roche v Friends than Roche v Iorveth. So i ended up having to free a terrorist from captivity just so i could save the rest of the non-humans. I fully intended to honor my promise to Roche of tracking down Letho as i did indeed feel that i owed him. I forgot in my hastiness that by saving Saskia using the dagger from Philippa that Letho goes and saves Triss...aaaarghh so i had to let him live again as once more he goes above and beyond for Geralt.
I dont think i will ever get a playthrough that i can be truly satisifed with but i keep on trying...damn you CDPR.

Loading times are a bit longer, but I don't think they're too bad, not for me anyway.
Try clearing your save game folder a bit, game even takes longer to start when you saved 150+ times.

I skipped most of the cutscenes, but does the game get more interesting after the prison break out?
The dragon stuff was awesome, but it seemed like after that, things started to slow down or took a halt.

Skipping scenes in TW2 = losing majority of the juicy juice.

Yes. Things are slow for a reason: it's an introduction. I found there to be more than enough action on Roche's side. Iorveth's side does seem a bit more low paced...then again I'm biased so *shrug*

Well that would leave you confused. The prologue is just that though a prologue so it's a bit linear but after you get to Flotsam the game really opens up. Have you finished the game? If not give it another go it's the dark fantasy game I been waiting for.

Can't wait for this to be out on 360.
Then I can finally get into The Witcher franchise(as I imagine there
will be more games coming out in the future).
You don't need to play the first one to understand everything but you should so play it. It's on sale frequently enough and it's cheap now at gog.com.

Ringo, I was just wondering for future reference. I didn't stop playing because I was bored. I stopped because I want something to do when I don't have access to my consoles. I will have almost a year where that will be the case.
I also skipped the scenes because I wanted to test my laptop's performance and check some things out with the leveling and conversations for intimidation and whatnot.

I guess most games grt to a point when you get "accidentally" separated from friendly NPC. But this is the best I have yet to seeRingo12 wrote...

"CD Projekt RED will be hosting an Investor’s Day on November 17th, during which the company will present development strategy and expansion plans for the next four years. It’s going to be a unique occasion for all shareholders and potential investors to see how the company looks like on the inside. It’s going to be even more interesting, since it will be the first time for our company to unveil such long-term strategies since entering Warsaw Stock Market. Stay tuned for more info, there’s a lot of exciting news coming up."
Oh man can't wait to see what they have planned!

I'm not sure us common folk will understand all that is discussed. But if they announce a new IP, particularly one in the Sci-Fi Genre, one might have to change one's shorts.
