I wonder whether depending on TW2 choices, the North will or will not be completely ****ed in TW3.
I also hope TW3 will have Geralt meet Queen Meve. That's the only major North monarch we haven't met yet. I'm thinking the game won't be set in actual Nilfgaard, but will possibly concentrate on fighting off the invasion; Emhyr will probably voyage north with his armies and bring Yennefer along.
I'm also greatly anticipating CDPR's unannounced original IP. Now that EA has fully assimilated BioWare, CDPR is pretty much the remaining developer of AAA story-driven RPGs.

When fantasy in literature has only just began to make the shift to more realistic and mature settings, and mature fantasy in film had its one chance with Conan the Barbarian but failed, one can't really expect for video games to immediately make huge strides in this regard.
I have some trouble calling Conan "mature." I haven't read the books, mind you, but the image of a muscle-bound guy in a thong just doesn't say mature to me. I guess it's because I look for historical realism.
As far as I remember he usually wore trousers both in the first movie and the tales (and mail when he could). The
loincloth stereotype is probably from the Marvel comics.
And Frank Frazetta artwork.
Also note that Marvel invented Red Sonja, who was completely different in Howard's book.
