Is this the spoiler filled trailer Slimgrin warned me of? If so, I will have to abstain. I'm way too excited about this game to ruin the story this close to release.

Nope, you can watch this one, and you should. It's very cool and sets up the story.

I don't think CDPR would place all their new content into the trailer, it might contain a little. But, I think they were expanding Tw2 a fair bit. So I wouldn't expect the trailer to hold anything substantial. We know what's going on because we've played the game and know what the trailer portrays, but anyone new, it doesn't disclose the who, what, why and when which is so integral to the story.

Man I suck at stealth challenges.

Also, Loredo's mother..! I can't believe Geralt let that cave troll get the drop on him.  edit- Oh, I just saw on the wiki that it was a QTE.  *facepalm*  I didn't even see the QTE prompt.  Thanks to those &#(! things my Geralt is such a ****-up.

I turn off the QTE's, I hate those bloody things. I'm confronting Traut in the Kedwenni camp. There are a few times when they place a battle right after conversation and you can't get your sword out fast enough before you get hit a time or two. I wish they would fix this.

You can disable QTEs :P

You can't disable them completely, just make them easier. They're not hard, I just sometimes don't even see the prompt because it's so small. That happened to me in Act 3 in the prison, too. I'm tapping buttons furiously trying to figure out how to cast Igni and didn't see it was a QTE.

Some can't be disabled true, but most can.

I don't know which studio does Bioware's CGI trailers but I think they do an average job at best. It feels like Michael Bay is at the helm for every one.

I agree, actually. I've never enjoyed them.

I really like the stealth bits. Obviously not on the same level as the stealth in games that specialize in it, but I thought it was pretty decent and a lot of fun (with awesome music). It added variety to the gameplay and gave the impression that Geralt is not just a killing machine.

All QTE's during boss fights and cut scenes will be disabled, which is where they don't belong anyway. The only ones you can't disable are the boxing ones.

What I love about that trailer/cutscene is that its able to tell a story without any dialogue or voice over, just purely with the visuals and music. It really sets up the game perfectly, which is good considering its the opening cutscene for the EE.

Probably the only other BioWare CG trailer that even tried to tell a story was the Origins Sacred Ashes trailer, most other ones like ME3 just devolve into a bunch of indecipherable quick cuts and action shots.

I'm just not very good at them.  I'd rather bust heads.

I went back and replayed the scene with the fisstech hag- there was no QTE, so that one must have been disabled completely.  I feel better now, but it still makes Geralt look like a chump.  He must have had an off night.  Worried about Triss, let's go with that.

Man, I only just got to Henselt's camp but thus far I think Roche's path is more powerful story-wise.  I wibbled a lot at the end in Flotsam.  And the conversation with Dethmold was fantastic.  I was surprised at how much changed even in Flotsam depending on what you chose to do when.

I sure hope you did the mine crawl with the dwarves in Vergen. I loved that one. And the succubus quest.

It's ironic how Vernon is Ser Jory in Dragon Age: Origins... from biggest badass to biggest wuss.

Bioware didn't give him enough time. Really did a great job as Roche especially here. He pulled it off so well.

The music... oh god that music!

I hated how if you saved while in the middle of a stealth section and then loaded that save, it would back to the default music.

Meh, if I screwed up I decided to just start from the begginning to get the music. :wizard:

I just love how Geralt is casually walking up the steps while Roche is chomping at the bit to kick ass. He's such a hot headed SOB, Roche. Plus, that recovery time. Damn.

Although, in ME2's defense, the CGI for ME2 did had a story(although with plenty of Dialogue).

But yeah, the one's for ME3 Make it look like a mindless Action game more than anything else(i hope that isn't the case from the demo)

I did the mine crawl, not the succubus quest.

The mine crawl... I couldn't really enjoy that.  I hate the new Cat effects, but trying to do it without Cat was a trial.   I also ran the maze for ages because I missed the first door where you get the key, so it felt like it took forever and I just wanted it to end and get out of there.

For the mines I alway use Flare bombs. It doesn't last very long but it looks so purty with the great lighting effects and its very cheap to produce.

Heh, yeah, I don't even hear Ser Jory anymore.  He did a great job in TW2.  It's refreshing that your sidekicks aren't dolts you're leading around by the nose, made incompetent or helpless so that the protagonist looks better.
Still I had to squee when Iorveth showed up.  It was hard to turn on him, so I'm glad Roche's path has been rewarding story-wise so far.

The mine isn't huge but easy to lose direction. I just love my dungeon crawls. The succubus quest is a fun romp. Lord did I laugh, though some folks were probably rolling their eyes.
