You people don't know what sexy is.  Sexy is Geralt speaking the elder tongue.

Glad to hear that. This one was mine :)

@Costin_Razvan: Your tribute video "Lands Of North" is awesome!

That to me is the highest praise anyone ever gave for a vid, since it's coming from one of the writers of TW2.

Thanks :)

Witcher dev's two 2014/2015 "AAA+" games are simultaneous PC, next-gen console releases!

Well looks like we have a long wait for the next project from CDProjekt but holy hell I'd like to know how crazy they are getting with their engine.

Good to see them not splitting up their Witcher dev team.
"One of these is new IP.CD Projekt is putting together a new team to make this game. The Witcher team won't be involved. "The second team is just a few guys right now," shared Badowski, "because we decided not to split the original Witcher team in two parts, but to hire new staff, and we've just started."

"Hey, we are in snow." :)

I hope they do sci-fi themed IP.
With their fantastic engine ı would like to see some Blade Runner/Deus Ex type IP.

Allow me to further mention that admitting to trolling and then saying 'but I haven't gotten warned!' ranks up there as one of the 'top five worst ideas in forum posting history'. It's akin to standing on the top of a tall hill in a thunderstorm, waving a metal flagpole and saying 'DO YOUR WORST, GODS OF THUNDER'.

I have done that..all i got was a cold. :/

Yeah, but what are the odds of this new team being talented as The Witcher team? :?

Besides, Jan already left.....

I like Geralt's hoods.

Any rumors on what the new IP will be about?

I was surprised that TW2 did not have mod support. The Nexus is kind of bare for a game that started out PC exclusive (though it's obviously a consolized game). I smell a deal with a demon.  CDPR should down a shot of Mongoose, fast.  That venomous mucus will suck you in faster than you click the RMB.

I Believe at one point they said they Promised to the fans that they would release a Mod tool.... eventually.

CDP has never broken a promise to their fans, i think they're just very busy.

Give'em time.

I cannot wait to finally play "The Witcher 2"!!!

I loved "The Witcher", though I understand the trading cards are sadly absent in the sequel.  Alas.  With ultraviolence getting a perpetual pass, I loved the the game flaunted its sexuality so much.

http://www.gog.com/e...2/tw2_sdk/page1

They have plans for a SDK it just takes time. Witcher 1 had a SDK but from what I have read it wasn't so great. If CDProjekt decides to release a SDK comparable to the Creation kit then I sure as hell don't mind waiting.

Edit: CDPR even hired someone who did a great combat rebalance mod for Witcher 1.

Robin Scott aka DarkOne, the owner of the nexus mod sites posted a long time ago. One modder explained why.

"
Part of the problem was that although we had access to many of the files for the original game, we only had access to the COMPILED scripts.  CDPR said that the scripts for the original game were under copyright -- a copyright that they apparently didn't own -- so they couldn't make the uncompiled scripts available to modders.  It's hard to mod the game without knowing how the damned thing works when unmodded. "

I hope the new IP will be sci-fi. Something in the likes of Dune or Perry Rhodan.

I am glad they removed it, because it was ridiculous. If you want sexuality to be flaunted, TW2 does it much more explicitly, but with tact and some seriousness.

EDIT: and yea I'd like it if the new IP is Sci Fi.
But I would be intrigued if it's an RPG in an uncommon setting, like antiquity or the industrial era (a good Fable III more or less).

I don't, I know there is a element of wanting to compete with Bioware and their Mass Effect series but I want a tudor or victorian RPG (not steampunk). Either that or wild west RPG like RDR but with branching plot, dialogue choices and consequences plus customisation etc. There so many SciFi and future games the market is too flooded even when take into account quality as reason. Bored of SciFi right now and fantasy as the only two genres RPG makers tend to focus on.

Yea, agreed. Even a modern day RPG would be welcome by me. A better Alpha Protocol of sorts (good luck with them making the protagonist better than Thorton, love that guy).

There is just so many possiblities open and in line with sort of dark human nature style games that CDPR do well that could come from a Victorian London style RPG. Period which gave us Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd, Sherlock Holmes and more. I think people are far too focused on "SciFi or Fantasy" types right now, it's decreased my enjoyment of the genre when everything is forced into two styles.

I just started playing Alpha Protocol myself. Really great game can't believe how long it took for me to actually play it.

Like virumor said, I would LOVE a scifi rpg if it were based off Dune. CDProjekt could definitely do the series justice. Still I'd also really would like to see a steampunk or a modern setting not necessarily related to evil corporations and terrorism.

It would be quite hard to go into the modern setting and avoid those. But I'd like it if they delve into intelligence agencies much more. Not a lone agent for a change.

Dune is awfully underused in video games (just compare with Star Trek and Star Wars). There are only 5 games in total, 4 of them strategy, 1 action-adventure.

I've been pining for a Dune RPG for years.

A Victorian setting would be the next best thing, though.

I'm not quite sure I know what you mean.

Personally I can not stop singing AP's praises. Easily one of the most engrossing RPG's I've played to date.

As in I'd ike to play an agent who is part of an intelligence agency, follows protocol and really acts like part of an organization rather than play a lone agent on the run again.

Don't get me wrong, I love Alpha Protocol and Michael Thorton is my favorite protagonist ever, with potentially a magnificent bastard level I'd put as almost equal to David Xanatos himself.

Rockstar was doing AGENT which was supposed to be a CIA spy during the Cold War. It would have been great if it ever gets released. I'm sure there would be something like that.
