It maybe could play witcher 1 non enhanced. I don't see any demo though and that's the best way for me to know

I would think almost any PC would run Witcher 1 now unless you have a truly ancient machine. The enhanced edition is probably better in fact, since it's optimized with a lot of bugs taken out. That said, you don't really need to play 1 before playing 2. It gives more background on the world and on what it means to be a witcher, but 2 is pretty standalone in terms of story.Doctalen wrote...
I have a question. I have never played Witcher 1 and idk if my PC can play it. I'd like to play the second on xbox though in the future when it drops in price. Is there any type of "Previously on" or anything to sum it up for me without me having to watch a playthrough?

But isn't that playing into the Nilfgaardians' plans? I don't begrudge Letho his little games, but don't want to see him succeed at them, either. Sile played the game like all the others.Costin_Razvan wrote...
Kill the ****, of course. Serious my reaction after she gave her little speech was:
"We may have lost a battle but the war is just beginning, you have however shall not take part in it. This is your end, witcher."
"And this is yours, ****."

Finished Roche's path today. I like it, though Iorveth's path definitely feels more organic for my Geralt. I'll wait til the EE comes out and replay a canon game on Iorveth's path. Am I the only one around here who prefers it?
Also curious what other people do with Sile.

O really? Cool, I'm gonna have to get it then and get the first when I get a gaming pc. I don't thing I have an ancient machine. This thing can play a good amount but I checked my stats and doesn't seem like it'll run the enhanced.
I don't know much about computers. 4GBs of RAM I think
My graphics is: Intel G46/43 express chip set
CPU: Intel core 2 duo E7200

So do you put aside your personal animosity towards the guy or act out on your personal feelings? Its a tough choice.
I don't have a lap top but I guess they are. I can play penumbra and some other moderner stuff on it (Source engine games for the most part). I'll just get it when I get them both when I get a gaming PC.Brockololly wrote...

It seems like you have integrated graphics and don't have a true graphics card which isn't the best for gaming. If you ended up getting The Witcher 1, I think every available version is the Enhanced Edition though. No reason not to play the Enhanced edition in any event since its got bug fixes and performance fixes too.

Nothing in W2 tops the revelation in W1 that the group my Geralt had been supporting all along(the Order) ended up being the main antagonist of the story and the ones behind Salamandra.

So you're pro-Nilfgaardian? I guess that makes sense, then. But whether Sile or Letho win or die is in Geralt's hands. They both taunt him, saying they can kill him. They both were just pursuing their own interests. I don't see why that makes Letho a badass and Sile a b****.Costin_Razvan wrote...
She's dead either way and as G.R.R.M once said: When you play the game of thrones you win or you die. Letho won, Sile died.
And as you well know, I prefer to help Empires.

I can think of a better revelation in TW1.
TW2 had no big revelation and I like it for that. It's grounded and very well written that it doesn't need fancy revelations and plot twists to be complex.

What happens to her? And did you play for the Order or Scoia'tael in TW1? Just want to keep my stuff straight. I don't remember a lot of the details from TW1. Suppose I should replay that, too, someday.slimgrin wrote...
What I don't get is that Badowski said in the interview they want you going with emotions, and given the complexity of the plot that's really hard for me to do. I'm always thinking very analytically about consequences. My choices in TW1 were more from the heart kind of stuff, in TW2 not so much. In fact nothing in TW2 disturbs me as much as discovering Toruviel's fate, not even what happens to the Blue Stripes in Roche's path. It's a more conceptual game imo.
