That trailer positively nails it. Very well done. Too bad it can't be included as a short movie intro in the game. Anyone have a link to the details on the patch? Can't believe it's goign to be 10 Gigs. That's insane.

10 gigs left us wondered... It is a lot of space to just fill with cut scenes or VO.
And i had some friends on our turkish forums who made official turkish subtitles for Witcher 2. And they have done it for all new extra content too.
And they arent telling us anything >_<
Now where were those torture tools...

In the second vid, the tutorial instructs the player to time his parry just before the enemy strikes. If they've included timed parry rather than just holding the key down, that would be awesome.

I'm not really getting that feel from the instructions in the video

One thing that's always been slightly weird in Witcher games is the instructions and skill descriptions.  Occasionally vague, sometimes contradictory

That's awesome.  Shows Geralt more like he is in the books.

yeah... maybe they should bring you books this way... short stories at least (first two books: "Last Wish" and "Sword of Destiny") ..I will be excited if they will announce this someday.

Apparently The Witcher 2 is coming out on Origin and Warner Bros is the publisher for the Origin version and the Xbox 360 US version this time.

Geralt always had a horse. But I wonder the same thing, though I fail to see how riding would add to the gameplay seeing as we usually have to travel through rather confined locations.

One time, half-jokingly, a friend of mine claimed that Witcher 2's Enhanced Edition is happening only due to the backlash towards Mass Effect 3's ending. Out of curiosity I did a bit of research

The claims of extending Act 3 by 4 hours were seen this January on numerous interviews

By late February CDProjekt had announced they would be adding 33-38 minutes of cinematics (depending on source the amount of minutes can vary)

The earliest mention of "Extended Outro" that I know of is mid March when the Extended Edition Feautres Trailer was released. The mention of extended outros is thus after ME3, however the cinematic time has been mostly unaltered to this day, so it is very likely that they had planned it far before ME3 but the rage over internet made them give outros (nice wording btw, not "ending" but outro) its own mention in the trailer.

Any thoughts?

My thought is that Bioware is not the center of the universe and CDPR does what it does because it wants to support its game and respond to player feedback as much as possible. Also that they wanted to have something meaty for the Xbox release.

The timing is good for them and bad for Bioware, especially if the new content really is a meaty add on and helps the ending. I think we can almost be certain much of the added content was in progress even before release, like Arena mode and the added quests. I was one of the first I know of to suggest Arena, it was well over two yrs ago on their forums. A happy coincidence for me. B)

My whole theory on their business strategy is that since the initial release was fraught with bugs and whatnot, they knew they'd have to 'finish' the game after release, so with each patch we've generally gotten bonus content. A good way to make it up to the gamers. I just hope they keep releasing patches and someday consider a toolset.

Edit: One of the devs just confirmed the meditation cutscene has been cut from the Xbox version but is still present on PC.

No, I don't think it has anything to do with that. CDPR did the same with TW1 so it doesn't suprise me that they take the same approach in TW2, improving on the game after release. Act 3 felt like it had something missing, it wasn't bad, but I would have liked something a extra, ie: Nilfgaard's armies crossing the border etc. This was brought up waaaay back in 2011 when Tw2 was released

Just know, if you start a religion you will have one devout follower, because your word is now gospel.

LOL I take homage in chocolate.

It's possible they timed the Xbox release for after ME3's release, but that would have been planned long ago.

Great new short bonus cut scene 52 and a Half.

I don't think this is in the game, maybe based on a chapter from one of the novels.

On their foums. I asked the community manager why it wasn't yanked from the PC version as well, but he didn't know. It's not a huge deal but it kinda gets old having to sit through the cutscene so often.

The prophet requests chocolate!

Yeah, I think they just sought out a decent spot to release. Which it is, nothing else with big anticipation is coming out this month, so right in the middle sounds like a real good place to put it.

10 gigs patch, are they even serious? Some backwards countries still have download limits. :(

Those new boob textures and extended, motion capped sex scenes better be worth it.
