Screw em. How the hell goes Witcher 2 get a lower score in graphics than Skyrim? Skyrim imo looks ugly.

Clearly they were miffed that one of their presenters didn't get a cameo as a Witcher babe.  Posted Image

Does anybody know if the EE changes the no-brainer decision regarding Triss in Act 3?

It never was that simple.

Yes, yes, Triss lives regardless. But if you don't save her all the mages in Loc Muine are hunted down whereas if you save her the Conclave is reestablished which could help the North against Nilfgaard more so then saving Anais ( especially if Henselt is alive ) or freeing Saskia.

IGN is up :/
So they find TW2 exeptional apart from few technical glitches... and score it 8.5 O_O

How come ME3, glitched as **** scores, like, what, 9? 9.5?

When you are affiliated, or one of the Big Boys you score on principle I guess?
And when you are a Pole you get kick in the teeth for good start :D

My intelligence just got insulted watching the review. The dissonance betweex narration and the score is disconcerting... methinks.

Since I didn't read the books I may miss some informations but Nilfgaard, in the games, never seems to be as bad as everybody in the north tells you it is.

Maybe you can tell me if the people of the north are actually right in their fear or not? Is Nilfgaard really the big bad? They just sounds a lot like the roman empire to me.

TobiTobsen: I never found it bad myself and I read the two english books. My point was that you mention it's pointless to save Triss when she survives regardless and you can help Temeria/Pontar Valley if you go with Roche/Iorveth, but you help the entire north if you save Triss and thus reform the Conclave.

IMHO the best fitting description is that Nilfgaard is a some sort of mixture of Roman Empire and Imperial (NOT ****!) Germany. Definately it's far more advanced, wealthy and more tollerant than Northern Kingdoms. Also, its government is far more autocratic and controlling, but its definately not tyrranical. Nordlings who still live in a feudal world have a warped perspective on its modern and efficient beaurocracy.

EDIT: Wow, it just censored the short term for a type of government that persisted in Germany prior and during the WW2.

Good point. Never thought about it like that. Maybe because most of the sorceresses and mages seemed to be hellbent on screwing me over. Sneaky bastards!

Keep in mind though. If you kill Henselt and then save Triss I think it's safe to assume you screwing the North a hell lot more then helping it.

Who cares. Metacritic is a farce.

Hmm...the new Prima guidebook says they've reduced the number of Endings from 16 to 8 in the Enhanced Edition to give a more complete experience. (Mostly with the video ending cutscene).

Guess they added and then removed some stuff.

In the middle of the first act.. No bugs for me yet. Except for Triss' hair going into her face. But that doesn't really bother me.

Enjoying it so far.. The graphics could be better but eh, they pass. The story is what's important to me anyway.

The Dark Edition is really cool. I'd say it's definitely worth the money. It's just a shame there was no DLC that came with it. I was supposed to receive a bonus t-shirt from Best Buy for pre-ordering, but I did not. I contacted them trying to get it. So we'll see about that.

All DLC ever, from different pre-order bonuses (Herbalist gloves and stuff like that) to Day 1 (Troll Trouble) and from after (the hairstylists), are already included on the discs.

Really?  That's xbox hardware limitation.  It looks too good on pc for it not to be.  I knew they would scale it down for console, but figured that it would still look pretty good on it.

Yeah, I honestly don't care for that very reason. I expected them to be toned down due to console limitations. I have a great computer and could have easily bought it for PC, but I just can't get into that style of gaming. I'm a pleb.

Well, I shouldn't be surprised, I suppose.  It's a pretty high resource demanding game.  It's probably the equivalent to pc low or low to mid settings.

You gotta have good hardware on pc to run the game on high settings at higher resolutions, and you have to have high end hardware, or at least duel GPU's, to run the game on uber settings at higher resolutions and get decent frame rates.

So if Slimgrin reads this, I take back 90% of my Witcher hate from the past few years. This game is boss. I still vehemently dislike the first game, but I've been playing Witcher 2 on 360 for like 12 hours today and I'm completely engrossed.
