"Bialy" means wolf in Polish?

When I hear the word "bialy" it makes me hungry because this is what I am picturing:

13 more days is too long. CD Projekt should release digital versions early. :D

Damn, the game just looks amazing. The environments are so good I can't believe they have day/night, weather effects, and are bigger than those in TW1.

One of my favorite additions to Witcher 2 is the combat log. I always wanted it in Dragon Age especially since it's squad based combat.

Found them on the NeoGaf TW2 thread but they're from a recent preview from a French gaming site.

The French article cites a consolized interface. A number of previewers have, actually. Oh well. Guess we gotta give up something for it to be ported to consoles, and I'd rather it be the interface than the story content, or combat. At least we can disable QTE's.

I don't mind an inventory list but would prefer a grid system. Everything else looks nice. I like the minimalistic style.

That would be cool. I also liked DA:O's dialogue log.

@Brockololly: Thanks for those images. When I see TW2 screenshots then I have the feeling that they actually put some love into the game. The atmosphere, the details, the lighting. It's all superb. ;)

In DA2 it's all too clean. There is no dirt. It's like they swept the floor just before you visit a location. Even the alienage looks clinical. In DA:O it felt if there were people living in it. In DA2 there was a door to Merrill's home. Maybe there was another door that I can't remember now, but that pretty much was it. A small village square with a tree. ;)

Thanks for the new pictures. They look awesome. I somewhat feel medium is better than Ultra? Pictures look with more 'gamma' effect added on in High-Ultra.

So if Geralt chose Shani over Triss in TW1, will Triss act like a prissy **** the entire game?

I hope we can get creative with the different signs as we level up, because I don't really see much in the way of new abilities in that tree.

They might as well (I hope) not even acknowledge this choice since Shani won't be around.

The Heliotrop Sign is a simple magical sign used by witchers. It is made by crossing one's wrists, and works as a buffer to the effects of a magical attack. Geralt uses this sign in the short story "A Grain of Truth" when Vereena uses a sonic attack against him.

Also found this 5 things you didn't know I learned something Posted Image

"
Spot the reality. Each chapter of the game has at least 10 references to the real world -- including art, politics, history, and more. For example, one of the monsters – an especially nasty and huge one – happens to bear the name of a Jedi knight and porn actor (care to guess what it is?).

Nothing's set in stone. During the game, the political map of Northern Realms changes depending on the player's actions. There are 14 variations of this map -- kingdoms disappear, take over other kingdoms, and so forth.

100 is the new 30. Geralt is very, very old by human standards. In the year during which The Witcher 2 takes place, Geralt is more than 100 years old.

Give me a sign. There's a new magical sign (spells) in The Witcher's world: Heliotrope. The signs players saw in the original Witcher have been enhanced -- such as the Axii sign which now allows the player to influence NPCs during dialogue. Therefore, signs can sometimes be used outside of combat.

Blade runner. Geralt can buy or craft up to 77 different swords, 21 of which are silver swords dedicated to fighting monsters. "
