Some of these may be jokes by the devs. I know Sile had King Kong flash above her after killing the Kayren. Also. I just killed a hen. :)

As for casting without drawing sword and active guard for silver sword: these are actually important improvements to gameplay. I'm tired and won't go into it now, but I'm genuinely surprised they listened as these were issues mostly brought up on the forums, to my knowledge.

Aah right, might have been Síle

Too bad that Brock is still broken though. It has the exact same positive effects as Wolf, but it also has crippling negative effect :-/

I thought Brock was supposed to be the one with side effects and not Wolf. I think there is a different stat involved making it more effective.

@Crusty..busted eh? :P

The both are identical in their buffs, but right now Brock still has massive resistance debuffs and 50 Toxicity. There is almost no reason to use it while it's still broken like this. Either Brock needs to be improved in a future patch or Wolf weakened

Also, damnit, I can't solve the riddle in the new side-quest in Roche's Act 3

What is the the travel system like in this game?

I am up to the point where i need to find some info on a Kaynen in a tavern.

Is there a travel system like Dragon Age Origins? World map and pick where you want to visit or is it like Fable where you go where you want until you reach a point where you leave one area and enter a new area to explore.

Or is this game linear?

So a game has to be like Fable or it's linear?

There are 3 small sandbox style enviroments and your free to explore the environments you aren't going from Kocari Wilds to Denerim.

Please don't compare this to Fable. I haven't sat down with it yet, but I'd hate to have the comparison in my head.

I'm not comparing it to Fable.

All i asked was about the travel system. If there is one.

Well I think I gave a clear answer. It's like Deus Ex Human Revolution. You have several areas you will visit and your free to explore.

There is no fast travel like in Elder Scrolls or typical travel system like in Dragon Age.

No. I also asked if it was similiar to Dragon Age: Origins.

Fable 3 and Dragon Age Origins are the only examples i can think off.

You sound offended, did i insult you somehow? You give of the impression i pissed you off.

It appeared to me as pretty blunt and hostile.

A reply normally seen on forums for example *Mass Effect 3 has multiplayer, so that means it's a CoD wannabe?'.

Anyway, i got my answer which i am happy with and i am not here to argue, thanks for the quick replies. Loving this game so far.

Hahahaaa! Finally beat the optional boss in From a Bygone Era! My alchemist character couldn't really do anything, but a caster could get heavy use out of super-buffed Aard and possible Heliotrope spam

I had to do that on my first playthrough. :)

Combat is really rewarding when you a solid grasp on it, and potions and bomds REALLY make a difference.
Harvesting plants and gathering ingredients does pay off.

Speaking of bombs, Dragon's Dreams are absolute room-clearers when your Igni is powerful enough

Haven't had much luck with traps. It's tricky to get a whole group of enemies to step into blast radius at the same time while trying not to get hit yourself

Yeah I'm starting to figure it out... Every fight needs a different strategy. It's extremely challenging, but also very rewarding when you get it right.

Question to whoever can answer, does it get "easier" on later playthroughs? As in do we get beefed up armor and weapons and such? Many RPGs do this, but I don't know if this game does.

I can't imagine playing on hard mode with my current loadout. I'd fail miserably.

Got my new graphics card in today and installed.  Game is running a lot smoother now and looks better even though the graphics options are the same as with my old card.

You don't. Your acquired skill at mastering the combat system will make it easier. Trust me.

The second time I started it from the start I've breezed through the tutorial, using all the neat tricks you can do with the basic signs and by quickly jumping from enemy to enemy avoiding getting flanked (I'm a fan of doing the Geraltcopter).

Well hopefully it will change what you think of the game at least you get to play it at a good framerate.

Ha. That fight is probably my favorite boss fight ever, in terms of mood, story and gameplay.
Beat it on hard and dark.

You do get more powerfull gear but relying on that alone doesn't make the difference. What does, aside form your own skills, is paying strict attention to effects, ie; which oils, bombs, spells offset the enemies, which runes to stack, which armor to wear - and how this all compliments your build type. When you start taking advantage of effects and stats, this game can go from brutal to easy even on hard setting.

I'm at the beginning of act 2,and I would like to thank all of you PC gamers for pointing me into the right direction. I already feel as if this game is killing Bioware. Rumors it is what DA2 should have been like.

I am really enjoying the story etc. Gameplay eh,but it seems as the acceptable pace needed between DA:O & DA2.

DA2 should have been like TW1, in terms of a conflict between an oppressed minority and a religious military order.

Glad you're enjoying it Rip!
What path did you pick if I may ask? You need to experience both paths to fully appreciate the story and the game in general.
