Czaynik: I see, thank you.

How do the poles look at the the Witcher games? Those that are gamers and those that are not and just fans of the books.

And while we are at it, how come Donald Tusk gave a copy for Obama? :D

It depends obviously on who you ask. Some are rabid fanboys (and fangirls), some just think it's a good game. Most are to some degree proud that finally something from the Polish popular culture finally managed to gain international acclaim after so many failures.

First of all it was one of many gifts that Obama received in Poland. I believe that it was given among others products that were made in Poland as examples of the local culture and economy. Secondly, Polish PM is relatively young and if you were born in Poland and your youth happened not earlier than in the 1980s, then you do know Sapkowski's literature and especially the Witcher. It is not unreasonable to assume that Donald Tusk knows and had read them.

What about Joseph Conrad (born Jozef Korzeniowski)? Also, there were four Polish Nobel prize laureates in literature (five if you count Singer who wrote in Yiddish).

Didn´t know about Conrad. Sadly, I don´t care much about Nobel Award writers. Making us read that kind of literature in school resulted in that avoid it as an adult.

Beware Gunhilde, the little girl of Lobinden. She'll latch on to you and repeat everyone's favorite lines...

"Can girls become Witchas tooo?"

"The butcher of the outskirts!"

"I'm not afraid!"

Then I drew my sword and she ran off. Chicken. :P

The Obamas are always giving out American pop culture crap on their diplomatic visits so it's appropriate.

Is there some kind of inventory bug on the Xbox? I keep having to re-equip my throwing weapons to my pockets and I upgraded my armour but now the upgrade seems to have completely disapeared. Is this a prologue thing or a bug?

It isn't a secret that gifts representing one's country's current culture are a
standard and common thing in diplomacy. I seriously fail to see why people were
making so much fuss about Obama getting a video game among dozens other gifts
he got on the same occasion.

As it is better then DA IMO.

Dragon Age Origins used to be my favorite game. Before I discovered The Witcher.

Glad you're having fun and I look forward to discussing the game story more once you finish it!

A quick Question to all.

Is there any way to carry more weight? More then 250? Am I just missing something or...?

Each part of the prologue is it's own setpiece, so I don't think any gear carries over. When you are past the prologue, this shouldn't be an issue. Remember, the prologue is linear by design, but things open up later on.

Help Aryan out of the dungeon to get the strong back perk. Certain gear will up your max weight as well. And there is chest storage in each act. But the point is to prioritize loot. You aren't supposed to be able to carry everything.

I have been glued to the Witcher 2 since it got delivered to me two days ago. Absolutely floored by the game. I had friends who would make comments about how the storytelling puts other RPGs to shame and I'd just brush it off, but I'm really starting to see why. CD Projekt Red is quickly becoming my new favorite company. It is a legitimately M rated game that isn't tacky or overdone. It's juuuust right.

Ah I see, I had to put the long range weapons back in my pockets several times before noticing my armour upgrade was gone which made me think bug.

I've been enjoying the story so far and it has a fantastic atmosphere. The combat has been a wee bit disapointing but I suspect it will get deeper as I unlock stuff and face different enemies.

I really hope you have to work for a Northern victory or a Nilfgaardian one and it's not just one stupid choice.

I hope there's a pro-Nilfgaard path.

Not without mods but there is storage at the inn in Flotsam (downstairs, in the room where the card players are), your room in Vergen on Ioveth's path or at the dwarf merchant in the followers' camp on Roche's path.  Whatever you put in storage in one location will be available at the storage in the other one.

Not sure if there's one in Loc Muinne.  Anyone...?

I always dump crafting stuff, extra runes, armor sets I don't want to sell, etc.

I wonder if we're going to visit Mahakam in Witcher 3. During the invasion in the ending, that part of the map remains untouched
