I hope we can get creative with the different signs as we level up, because I don't really see much in the way of new abilities in that tree.
The Heliotrop Sign is a simple magical sign used by witchers. It is made by crossing one's wrists, and works as a buffer to the effects of a magical attack. Geralt uses this sign in the short story "A Grain of Truth" when Vereena uses a sonic attack against him.
Also found this 5 things you didn't know I learned something
"
Spot the reality. Each chapter of the game has at least 10 references to the real world -- including art, politics, history, and more. For example, one of the monsters – an especially nasty and huge one – happens to bear the name of a Jedi knight and porn actor (care to guess what it is?).
Nothing's set in stone. During the game, the political map of Northern Realms changes depending on the player's actions. There are 14 variations of this map -- kingdoms disappear, take over other kingdoms, and so forth.
100 is the new 30. Geralt is very, very old by human standards. In the year during which The Witcher 2 takes place, Geralt is more than 100 years old.
Give me a sign. There's a new magical sign (spells) in The Witcher's world: Heliotrope. The signs players saw in the original Witcher have been enhanced -- such as the Axii sign which now allows the player to influence NPCs during dialogue. Therefore, signs can sometimes be used outside of combat.
Blade runner. Geralt can buy or craft up to 77 different swords, 21 of which are silver swords dedicated to fighting monsters. "
Sounds cool. 14 variations on the map, thats impressive.
I'll be looking for those real world referencees.

Aussies are getting the shaft twice?

Well it's not Gog's or Steam's fault really. i heard so I don't know for sure but someone told me that the extra price is for "tax" purposes or something. Either way if your from Austrialia you might wanna get the game now people.
@clst Witchers age very very slow. So while he may be 100 his actual appearance slows down a lot. The author says he is over 50 but not his actual age so who knows!

It's amazing, the Witcher 1 had some of those things, but they fleshed it out even more in The Witcher 2.
The atmosphere of this game alone makes it worthy of being a GOTY.
