I wouldn't be so sure. If Temerians whose country is collapsing were aware of Nilgaardian armies stationed at the border, it would be foolish to assume that Radovid wasn't with his extensive intelligence network. Quite contrary, he must have know about it and took that into account when playing his game.

I will not be surprised if Radovid pulls out an ace from his sleeve. As stated in one of trailers, he had been preparing his country for war for quite some time. Plus, now he was the fanatical Order at his disposal.

Oh I agree in that Radovid probably knew that Nilfgaard mobalized its army at around that time (I doubt he knew of the Emperor's plan before though), Redania afterall has the best intelligence service in the continent, and yea he had been amassing armies.

But his potential failure when it comes to mages is a hinderance. And it cannot be denied that Nilfgaard has the upperhand now.

But I do believe that Radovid is going to put up a fight and make it hard for Nilfgaard.

Siegfried worship must go along with Radovid worship, in that I understand neither. Ah well, bromance does not always translate across the double X chromosomes.

Beware too much character worship, however. Everyone has weaknesses and can blunder, even the most brilliant kings and generals. It sounds like you guys are setting up high expectations for your boy in TW3.

Is the word "worship" really necessary?

LOL  "Intense admiration" then, how's that?

Admiration on its own suffices as far as I am concerned.

There's an important line I wasn't told about.

Radovid: "I have done everything in my power to position my pawns correctly. I will know in time who to pin down."

The "Queen" is an obvious reference to Philippa Eilhart.
And I am not sure if Carduin was just being cordial or whether he was in Radovid's pocket all along (lol if that's the case, Eilhart was screwed the moment she hatched her plan).

But the interesting bit. Radovid is using a pawn with a Nilfgaardian symbol at 0:06.
Either that signifies that Radovid is really using Nilfgaard as his tool and the last line suggests that he is fully prepared to deal with them. Or Radovid is that delusional to think that Nilfgaard itself is a piece on his chessboard. Or perhaps a mixture of both.

Very interesting.

Oh and flashs of Saskia and Triss. Cool, but Radovid's more interesting.

Reuniting with ol' Sieg was the best moment in TW2 for me.

Has anyone else had a look at the "quest handbook"? It's pretty damn hefty for that sort of thing, the temptation to leaf through it is pretty damn strong. The maps were nice too, even if I don't have any use for it.

I've only counted all the missions avaliable in each acts, didn't want to miss a thing.

SO I just completed the secrets of Loc Muin, fantastic quest. Interesting revelation at the end, was able to kill that traitor(:D) and that artifact was very interesting.

Which traitor? Cynthia? I hope not.

Why kill when you can plough! There's so much more glory in that.

She deserves it, oh it felt good. She had it coming.

*Cough* My choice felt good too.

To those who killed Henselt. Does the Ending slide recognize that?
Because it would not make sense to see Radovid and Henselt dividing Temeria amongst themselves for instance.

I reloaded, saved Triss and saw what happens. We see he general brawl that took place which Triss mentions (apparently sparked by Kaedwenis and Temerians, with the Order joining in the fight). Carduin says that the Council will assist Radovid in defeating the Lodge to earn his trust. And apparently Radovid demands humility and obedience from mages.

I must say that the end choice is particularily hard because they both offer pros and cons. I still believe that helping Roche and giving Anais to Radovid to be the wisest course of action as far as the North is concerned. But it's a close call.

As much as I really like the guy, I do not think he can manage Temeria, Kaedwen and Aedirn in chaos all by myself so abruptly.

Depends. I don't know if a spared Adda is a proper queen or not (the wikia said the books describe her as a bit handicapped, seemed "all right" in TW1), but if she managed to learn a bit from daddy Foltest ("I don't want any ****ing faternal assitance, the phase rubs me the wrong way!!!!" Fotlest is epic), maybe she can help out.

They ruined one of my favorite scenes in the whole game, the death of Cedric. In 2.0 when he says, "something's happening..." Geralt looks around and there's nothing there - just wind, trees, and bushes. Then he turns to Cedric and says, "they've come to bid you farewell." I loved that scene, to me it seemed pregnant with suggestion. Now Bambi and company really do come and bid him farewell. What the f*ck..

Yea, at first I was like "awwww." But then I realized how Disney-esque it looked.

I agree, I prefer it the way it was.

It's not just Disney-esque, I was convinced I was seeing that event through Geralt's pragmatic and cynical world view. There is nothing there, in his eyes. But he has enough humanity to set that aside and bid a noble man farewell. It was so perfect.

CDPR, I'm sorry, but this is the one and only true facepalm moment of either game:

I don't mind Dandelion's narration in between acts (although I don't particularly care for his English VA), but the scenes with the boat traveling down the river look a tad cartoonish to me.

He says the same thing if he is alive. It's referring to the invasion more likely.
