Really digging this game, it looks beautiful even on 360. Took a while getting used to the combat but once you get used to the timing of your attacks then it really does shine, the trap sign (yrdol sp?) is a godsend for me at the moment just instantly stopping foes in their tracks.
Only real hiccups I've come across are shadow and lighting effects whilst in Flotsam, makes faces look a little grainy at times and the occasional texture glitch in cutscenes which CDProjekt may well try to address in a future patch. But this is definitely shaping up to be one of the finest games I've played.
Yeah its one of those rare gems where a learning curve actually exists. Alot of folks swear by Yrden but personally i go for Aard and Quen, although this is probably because in the first game i used Aard alot. Once you learn that rolling is more cost effective than blocking things get easier. You will also find that you automatically apply the correct oils to your blade when fighting Nekkers/ wraiths, use traps, bombs and drink potions before you head off from towns.
Before i upgraded my rig i could only run on high in Flotsam beyond that everything was smooth.
