Well, I think it's safe to say they're all pretty weak when compared to Jack. amirite.

Hahaha good one.

Triss might not be the best love interest, but for me she's better than Miranda, Tali, Ashley in ME3, Jack, Liara, Isabela and Merril.  And I am tempted to say combined.

Ves seems pretty untalkative, guess I need to play Roche's path next time to get dialogue out of her. She would certainly have a decent backstory considering what little Roche tells us about her.

Triss is not my Geralt's official LI yet, but a work in progress. Besides, if I can get away with bedding whoever I want and then settling down with her when the dust clears, I'll do just that.

Yes I'm a pig. :P

If you schmooze her at first she shuts up.  Doesn't like a smooth talker.

Ha, ok fine I didn't try romacing Tali in ME3 so I don't know.
But fine, Tali is more acceptable than those I mentionned.

Well, it is rather unsatisfying when your love interest is absent in 2 out of 3 acts and in the end she isn't even quite as "appreciative" as you would expect from someone that loves you. I found that  a little disappointing. For what did I even search her all the time with the Nilfgardians figuratively screaming in my face "Haha, the sorceress is in another castle"? But actually I don't really want to complain. In the end I do care for Triss and I do want to rescue her eventhough the fact that I know she gets rescued anyway lets me shift my priorities once in a while.

I thought she sounded really amazed by Geralt coming to rescue her.  What did you expect?  I'm glad they didn't make it too goofy.  Less is always more in these romantic scenes.

I'm in the ice plains in TW1 and apparently if you kill Vincent and Adda De Wett mentions both of these actions in the same breath and he fights for you. After dealing with the BS of Mass Effect where choices and plots exist in complete vaccuums.... I just don't know what to say. I gotta take this in slowly..

True and right before that I saw the epicness of Siegfried and Yaevinn tag teaming against my neutral Geralt. That's a lot of win to process at once.

I just came across this scene a couple of minutes ago in my latest playthrough so I can comment on that with fresh memory. The scene is fine I guess. It's not like I wanted them to crawl into some Nilfgaardian tent and do the elven baths all over again but a kiss or at least a hug still would have been nice.

But I have a different question regarding the kidnapping of Miss Merigold. Maybe this has come up before but it irritates me. So when we come back through the mist from Vergen on Roche's path we learn that Cynthia just arrived with the decompressed Triss. But wasn't Shilard talking about just reciving a figurine that even a monster hunter would love to see (or something in that nature) at the very begining of act 2. I always took it as him mocking me but it makes no sense considering the timeline. Did I miss something or do I just read things into his words that aren't there?

Yes, you can reason with them and they won´t attack you. Although Sigfried´s words made me regret not fighting him (if I remember well, you point out you are not his real enemy and he says it´s true, it´s the elves and goes to fight them - instead of the corrupted Order).

Neutral Geralt is then attacked by both Sig and Yaevinn in the mindscape. Sadly Igni is so overpowered that late in the game that I spammed 4 attacks and incinerated them both in a second. Really want to play the game with the balanced mod.

Yeah, that moment only makes sense if the person delivering the figurine is killed early in the chapter(s) and something in Iorveth's path makes it so that nobody finds the figurine before Geralt, OR in Roche's path for some odd reason the courier just doesn't get killed.

It's a bit of a plothole in either case

True that, if it wasn't for TW1 I wouldn't have enjoyed TW2 as much as I wouldn't have cared for Temeria and Foltest. The latter's death greatly enhanced the immersion and RP experience, you might even call it "emotionally engaging". :P

I saw it as mockery. I believe Shilard knew that Cynthia would decompress Triss (after all she is Vanhemar's apprentice, they could have been communicating). Essentially, Shilard was just trolling Geralt.

Makes ya feel sad for those who came into TW2 blind. That scene felt so powerful and made me instantly hate Letho (as a person, not as a character) simply because I had grown very fond of Foltest
