True that, if it wasn't for TW1 I wouldn't have enjoyed TW2 as much as I wouldn't have cared for Temeria and Foltest. The latter's death greatly enhanced the immersion and RP experience, you might even call it "emotionally engaging". :P

Makes ya feel sad for those who came into TW2 blind. That scene felt so powerful and made me instantly hate Letho (as a person, not as a character) simply because I had grown very fond of Foltest

Same here, Letho signed his own death warrant with that action.

Cmon, you can do better than that, but I'll bite, judging by the silly sig.

Witcher 2: Fans content with ending before enhanced edition, numerous patches and free dlc, and free enhanced edition with even more emphasis on ending variation and extra content

ME3: Fans ****** and moan, cry, beg and plead with Bioware to get new endings where your choices matter (hint: they never did, renegades knew this for awhile though) instead of a BUY MOAR DLC prompt at the end. Bioware says deal with it, but ok, NOW we'll see about having your choices matter after the silly cupcake thing and charity drive.

For the first game I agree.

Second? No.

Bite your tongue.  TW1 is an amazing game.

I don't want to and you can't make me.

Witcher 2 doesn't have Foltest and Shilard acting like total morons in the intro for no other reason than to metaphorically give the player a handjob or "lol the Order/Scoia'tael are indoctrinated and that's why you have to fight them despite your prior choices!" either.

Loredo > all ME antagonists and villains combined (barring Saren, he at least was well executed).

Yeah, Loredo came off as an actual three dimensional person unlike BW's caricatures.

Funny thing: because I wasn't paying too much attention on my first playthrough, Loredo almost won me over during the discussion in his house. I gave him the benefit of a doubt and believed him when he said that while he may have prejudices, his problem ultimately lies with Iorveth and his squad. He only told me what I wanted to hear, in a good way, not beating me over the head with his sleaziness

Well ultimately sleazebag's gonna sleazebag and I smacked myself in the forehead when he burned that house, finally getting through my thick skull that he's a lazy, rotten, corrupt, thuggish Kaedweni-loving racist ******.

Loredo's just a thug compared to Philippa or Emperor of Nilfgaard...and I want to see Yennefer, Geralt's true and only LI, in TW3.

Of course, but he's a well executed one. And for me, the creepiest character in the game. Because it's not obvious that he's that much of a scum, as he behaved more or less like normal people.

Ditto, he was charming during the interaction with him on the gallows too. I was hoping to get a good check for catching Iorveth for him. >_>

A thug in all senses... Emhyr is ruthless because he thinks he must. I found him more like someone doing his best to ignore his conscience (and sometimes failing) rather than lacking one. Not that it makes much difference to his victims, but I find him a more interesting character. It´s ironic Nilfgaard apparently treats nonhumans better than the North.

That because Emhyr is not a 100% human either, not to spoil anything.

Is this something from late in the game? In the books he´s purely human as far as I can remember. His daughter however...

Well, you've read "A matter of price" then? So you know that he used to be something...different.

That was just a curse. Before that he was (and still is now) perfectly human.
And you can speak freely here. Most of us have already read the entire saga and short stories. :o

Why are you in this thread then?

Don't you think the third smiley he posted was obvious enough?

The discussion with Loredo helps to establish he's no dimwit, and I like how his crazy mom is tied into the lore of Flotsam. Still, he's one of the sleaziest in the game. Wanted to throttle that bastard for groping Vess.

Uh....

i didn't see much subtlety in Loredo's character. Despised him from the get-go.

But please, keep bashing Bioware characters on Bioware's forum. That's classy. Do Bioware fans do the same on CDPR's board?:?

ON TOPIC:

Just finished Act II of the EE on Roche's part. Let Henselt live (Need him to keep Nilfgaard in check).

Never cared less about Triss than in this playthrough. And does the EE build on Geralt's hunch about Ves lying about escaping from Dethmold?

Either way: Having a BLAST with this game yet again. And my old crush on Roche is back. Off to Loc Muinne I go. That's where most of the added EE content is, right? 'cause I haven't seen all that much new stuff yet.

No, sadly.

Yes.
There are minor additions throughout, but the bulk is in Act 3.

Deal with it.....? Really? How about some maturity rather than constant jabs? Just lost a ton of my respect here, KOP. Not that that'll matter to you, I am sure.

Dammit. I was SO hoping to see that hunch explained. Perfect opportunity lost. Again.

And YAY then, Act III had the most problems as it was. Can't WAIT to see the additions.
