I roll all ways when it comes to RPG's - fixed, blank slate, male, female - each have their advantage. In fact I would absolutley love if CDPR's new IP featured a fixed female protagonist. I made a poll on their site about this, and many were open to the idea. I have yet to experience a female protagonist as compelling, witty, socially awkward, in short, as wonderful as I find Geralt to be.

Why a new IP? There is always Ciri.

I quote Martin Iwinski: 'the new game will be more about machine gun fighting than bow fighting'. That's straight from the CEO. B)  Sounds like a Sci-Fi or modern day RPG.

"Tools? A few bruises? You really don't want to leave this crypt alive."

Seriously Geralt can be quite intimidating at times.

When did the King of the WIld Hunt say Geralt was a rider of the hunt? I guess it was implied but really.

He tells Geralt to join him and be his agent like he once was, or something like that.
That's at the very end when he's saying that all Geralt did was sow  destruction.

Wait, would Alv- *cough* I mean Jacques become a rider if you handed over his soul?

If that's the case, maybe we'll meet him again in TW3. Which would be most awesome.

Does TW2 even recognize if you gave the KOTWH Jacques?

Only found one short comment on it when Geralt's talking to the other person thats interested about the Wild Hunt in Act II either the Hebalist in Henselt's camp(forget his name) or Cynthia. Where he mentions that his memory started returning after he killed him.....I believe...tend to skip through conversations now so going by long ago memory.

ACK nevermind you wanted to know if it said anything about if you gave him Jacques.....no clue I always fought KOTWH.

So you can talk to Iorveth about Yaevinn.  I missed this on my previous game.

And he finally calls him Geralt instead of "bloede dhoine."  Heartwarming.  ^_^

It's a shame there isn't more recognition of Geralt's alignments from the previous game. At the very least the Scoia'tael should be more hostile to a pro-Order Geralt or more receptive to him if he was pro-Scoia'tael along with Roche being more suspicious of him during the interrogation.

Outside of interactions with Order knights or that Yaevinn convo with Iorveth in chapter 2 the game largely assumes Geralt was neutral. :(

Both would interest me very much. Especially the former.

Not really a fan of "returning dead characters", but it could turn out very interesting, depending on how he is executed. Geralt recognizing that he is actually Alvin would be really cool though.

The gun on the site is Glock for sure, so I'd say modern day RPG rather then Sci-fi

Possibly but Firefly didn't have too a lot of advanced firearms most of the people pretty much had your run of the mill pistol. Scifi western would make shed tears.

So I just started playing the Enchanced Edition and tried to figure out the ending differences but all I get in YouTube is the same damn decisions over and over again.

***SPOILERS***

So if I go on Roche's path and kill Henselt. Will the dwarves still be hanged? Pretty much my only gripe with the Roche ending. I'd like to help Temeria remain independent. I love how the Scoi'atel are fighting for they're freedom but ignoring all the political stuff flying around and leaving Temeria to be ripped into shreds by Henselt and Stennis just feels wrong. I mean...when the Nilfgaardians start to invade, are the Scoi'atel actually going to lift a stick in order to protect the human provinces? Doubt it.

Edit: Wow...still no spoiler tags in this freaking forum.

Yes the dwarves still get hanged because the Kaedwenis won the battle.

The Scoia'Tael never cared about human polities which systematically persecuted nonhumans, so of course they are not going to do anything. Iorveth engineered Foltest's death afterall.

The Scoia'Tael are not likely to fight Nilfgaard actively unless they are protecting Upper Aerdirn if it gets established.

Scoia'Tael fighting for human provinces?

Considering they bear no love for the humans and even fought for Nilfgaard in the last war (divisions Vrihedd and Deithwen),  I highly doubt it.

Some, particularly Iorveth might be a bit bitter about how Nilfgaard handed over their commanders after the last war

Seeing the Order of the Flaming Rose and the Scoia'tael becoming co-belligerents against Nilfgaard would be pretty epic.

I doubt it will happen. And I certainly hope it doesn't.

At best, they fight a common enemy on compeltely different fronts, not side by side.

Certainly, I doubt CDPR would stoop to the level of the complete chaos and idiocy of ME3's priority Earth where you see Krogan,Turian and human troops all mixed up together for no reason.

Just finished TW2 a couple of hours ago on Roche's path. Currently trying to decide if its the best game I've ever played, it's certainly one of the best atleast.

I'm guessing it will be far more complicated than that.  The Scoia'tael might end up allying with Francesca Findabair again- stranger things have happened.

Play it on the other path as well. So many details will change and plot points will arise that at times it feels like a new game.
