Nice art. Though I can't look at Radovid without thinking of Foltest saying "that little midget wants my kingdom." lol

The only one who can say that seriously is Emhyr. Certainly not Foltest or Henselt.

For a midget, he sure impresses me more than the "giants".

Whatever.  I don't understand the adulation.

He's one of the best characters(Siegfried being THE best one).

Everyone's favorite BAMF... or at least, in this thread. :]

Is this official art or fan art? It's beautifully done.

Two favorite BAMFs.

I think it's official, CDPR just used it for a community update.

Ohmgawsh.  Radovid was just too cool that I didn't even see Philippa.. haha.  For shame!

Philippa looks awesome too. They are probably imagining all sorts of ways to outmaneuver each other. With Radovid out-thinking her in round 1.

Round 1: He went for the eyes.

I wonder, is this image supposed to just be like a trite throwaway... or is it possibly alluding to a Radovid and Philippa tag team in the future? I don't think they can stand to even be by each other... or at least on Radovid's end.

Ok, I beat the damn draug and this time I did it in like 3 sword swipes.  I have no idea what the difference was but I did take some of the advice recommended.  Bleargh, at least that's over.  <_<  And I'm on now to chapter 3.

With the generally poor sales on 360, and the completely foreign architecture of the PS3, i very, very highly doubt it.

They also indirectly announced the production of two new games right after the 360 release; one a new IP, and the other likely TW3. I believe they'll have their whole team working on these games.

It's a pathetic boss fight if you get behind him and stunlock him. He dies quickly.

The trick is of course to get behind him. Truth be told I like the balance of TW2 combat. Enemies can be though, do a lot of damage and all that, but CDPR doesn't really on stupid HD or armor on foes to make them a challenge and it's quite satysfing when you build up Geralt in such a way that he is doing a ton of damage..

For some fights that may be, but not for all.

Letho for example (on normal difficulty) is a good fight imo, BUT the problem is: If I hit him, I take maybe 1/20th off his health, maybe less, when I get hit I die in 3 hits.

That is pretty annoying imo....

Then you haven't geared up and leveled your character properly.

I dont think that is the case. All the fights before him were a f*cking cakewalk that tempted me to turn the difficulty up, so.....

But oh well, now it is Diablo time anyways and afterwards I will probably just play through on easy for the story.

Imo, TW2 is HORRIBLE gameplay-wise.

The problem is you have to level to the gameplay and not for roleplay's sake.  You can't build a character based on what you think Geralt should be able to do.  Though truth be told, that was never a strength of the Witcher games.

I also remembered why I didn't take those roll perks- the Geraltcopter is back.  Posted Image

Oh well, I hate TW2's combat, that's no secret.

Did it not sell well already? CDPR said 1 million by the end of the year would be a success in their eyes how many have been sold already?

One would think you'd be reveling in a bit of glory after dispatching the Visitor in 3 hits...

And what do the roll perks have to do with Geraltcopter?

Also, this: The company does plan to branch out though. The age of the PC exclusive - for CD Projekt RED at least - is over, with executive producer John Mamais confirming that "we're going multi-platform and will support DX11".

DX11 is confirmed. :wizard:

Am again doing a run on Iorveth's path, and I encountered some dialogue with Prince Stennis that I hadn't in my earlier playthroughs.

And again I'm stunned by the sheer douchebaggery along with grand stupidity that is Prince Penis. When Geralt politelty asks him regarding his succession in Aedirn, the Prince makes every effort to insult Geralt and belittle him. Doesn't this ****** realise that he's not on his home turf and that to have an ally like Geralt is to his benefit? What does he gain from insulting Geralt, when he could really need his assistance later on?

Throughout the game Geralt encounters many nobles. And despite their status, they make it a point to show the witcher some respect. King Foltest, Aryan Lavalette, Countess Louisa Lavalette, Ambassador Shilard, Count Maravel (on Roche's path), and even that fat ****** Henselt. The only other noble like Stennis who treats Geralt like crap is Baron Kimbolt.

Oh, you're right, it doesn't.  I was just making the association because I had the big battle in Vergen right after I got those.  But it's having a crowd of enemies that makes Geralt fly around like an idiot.  What's sad is when I line up a nice Aard send-off and instead of blasting a guy off a ledge, dude leaps to another target instead.

Also, is it just me or does Axii not work very well?

I haven't specialized in it yet, but I defintiely use it. You take less damage while casting it, but I usually throw up Quen then cast it. Here's the rub: it's chance ( dice roll ) based, I'm sure if it. I think enemy resistance, and their distance from you also plays a role. Also, once upgraded you're supposed be able to entrance two foes at once, which would make it an extremely powerful tool in group fights. haven't done that yet, too in love with aard. I may try it on my current run as I'll be doing a mage-centric build.

Another thing you should consider is stacking effects across gear types ie; get armor, sword, runes, and oils that all have bleeding as a side effect. Makes a HUGE difference. Or try it with freezing, incineration, etc.

As for the geraltcopter, sounds like you aren't aiming deliberately. The mechanic is meant to close the distance on enemies, and if they don't block, which they rarely do on easy, then the entire point is to steer him from one foe to the next in an uninterupted sequence of attacks. I'll try to find a vid that demonstrates it...

Prince Penis is indeed stupid.
But it's kind of understandable in the context he is in. He expected to go to Upper Aedirn and be hailed a hero, only to see that the people hate him and follow another leader, who is his only capable military commander. In such a dilema, Penis is so stuck up against the wall that he loses it. That and he is quite clearly not a natural politician.
