For me, it's the opposite. I was never irritated when I played TW2 on PC and I died God knows how many times. But on 360, I got pissed off several times. I especially find the way you activate critical finishers / helio / bezerk to be mindbogglingly stupid. The targetting system is worse too.

There are endrega queens beneath Loc Muinne on Iorveth's path and in the forest on Roche's path. Besides the forgotten Vran Sword is better, they added one on Iorveth's path (

Skalen's lying to me now I think. He says I just won Xena's sword yet when I go to my inventory he's just given me a rusty steel one.

You mean its not in the cave? Then go ahead and brew the potion. It should be in your inventory.

It's possible you used it in potion making?  The alchemy menu needs real work.  I keep seeing things pop up that are marked as quest items but there is no way to move them out and select another ingredient that has the same substance.  I made the mongoose potion as soon as I got some and then held it until I was ready to fight because I knew about this problem.

Maybe it will respawn in the cave?  You also don't really need the potion to fight the kayran.

The alchemy panel needs work indeed, because it STILL uses valuable items by default. You can switch them out though by double clicking a substitute ( on PC ), you just have to be on your toes when brewing.

I don't think it respawns either, but maybe he can buy it from Anezka or from Cedric?

If he's on medium or harder, I'd try to get the potion made because you take a lot more damage from the Karen's slime should you get caught in it.

This is in the new content, in the first room in the catacombs where you encounter bruxae?  I went in there and know there's a room beyond it, though I decided to backtrack and do some other stuff first so I didn't get that far.

It is in the first room with the bruxa, you need to use Igni and Aard on the diamonds on the walls in a specific order ( it's in the vid ).

Is the Vran guardian bugged? I got him down to 3/4ths health then spent ten minutes hacking at him with neither him nor Geralt taking any damage. Lots of pretty spells and nothing whatsoever happening.

I'd just reload and try again. Didn't encounter that bug you mention.

I figured out what happened- I didn't realize that I was fighting with steel sword, and the battle had gone on so long that the potions all wore off so he just wasn't doing any damage. And I must just have been lucky and evading all the guard's attacks.

 So it appears that the Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition is out for PC and as with the first it's a free download to people who own the original Witcher 2(like me). Can someone clue me in on how I can get this(I've got the gog.com version). Do I just launch it and it updates automatically or something?

If they still put effort into the PC version, it's alright by me. However, that is not the norm.

This never happens with multi-platform development. It just doesn't. I love CDPR, but TW1 was their last true CRPG.

I'll be happy with table scraps from such an awesome dev though.
