Yeah, who needs laws and courts when we can allow lynch mobs to butcher people just because we dislike them. That's a great idea for a state.

If Stennis ever gets a trial, they never say- the nobles just proclaim him king. That's not much of a state, either.

Saskia let him go after the battle. It's up to her to judge him guilty or not, obviously she didn't find him guilty.

It's a hell lot more dangerous to sanction a lynching then to allow someone who might have been responsible of a crime to walk free.

Of course they'll proclaim him king. As Dandelion says during Geralt's investigation, the nobles will forgive him anything even if he is guilty. They don't want to lose their heads once Penis loses his. And the people who'll sit at this trial will be nobles themselves as Geralt points out. He'll be sure to promise them land and titles if they find him innocent.

The person who judges him is a the leader of Vergen. Saskia. Stennis mentions that they would gather a council of the wise only if she dies.

But if she dies then Stennis being found guilty or not is irrelevant, since the state collapses.

If it's in Polish, which it might be (?), make sure you give us an update on what is discussed.  I'd really like to hear. :]

Yeah, but seriously.. is it not inevitable?  What with them teasing two AAA+ games due for 2013/2014 and then having one of the options for the 2 possible projects to be hired for as: "RPG in a Dark Fantasy World" with the following text on the post:

"Our mature dark-fantasy world is well known around the world, though if you can’t stomach dwarves, elves or sorceresses who put their ample charms on display in Playboy magazine..."

Not to mention how obvious it is that Geralt's story isn't finished, just yet.  I suppose the only point of contention is whether or not they announce it on May 30th or a later in the year.  I'm sure we're all hoping for sooner, rather than later. :]

I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect them to announce TW3 now....but an expansion? Perhaps.

Excuse me, but where did you get that info from? I've searched the web(in both, polish and english) and there's no info about any CDPR summer conference on May 30th...

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't they said that they wouldn't make an expansion? I'm really not sure, i believe i read it somewhere.
Anyway, yes, Witcher 3 now would be a bit harsh, but not entirely impossible(even though i would prefer it if they took their time), however, they did said that Witcher 3 would come out faster than 2, since now they know the technology works better, so a Witcher 3 announcement can't be THAT far.
Late 2012-Early 2013, maybe?

Okay, I am finally submitting to Witcher 2's allure. Please tell me the combat and the occasional immaturity are not as bad as they seem.

Oh and do I miss much by not playing the first game?

Combat gets alot better once you get used to it. Depends on what you mean by occasional immaturity.

I didn't play much of the first game and didn't feel like I was missing out on much really. You could always read the story on the wikia too if you feel like you're missing too much.

Yup ,you miss  a bit... and if you don't like the game from the very beginning you prolly won't like it later on either.
Combat does require some getting used to and there's ABSOLUETLY no immaturity in TW2 as I see it...
