Platige is awarded best game trailer for TW2. I would call it the best goddamn trailer of all time, but that wasn't a category.

Well im finally on my 8th playthrough and i chose Iorveth this time to give me an even 4:4 ratio. I just did the flickering heart quest and i swear everytime i hear Geralt say, " ****ing idiot went in!" i burst out laughing. Thats great VA right there.

During my first playthrough on normal I recall Slimgrin telling me to remember to prepare for the Letho fight in the elven baths. It was a bit late as I'd just beat him rather easily without taking any potions. I thought it was just exageration.

Having faced him on hard, I see what you mean Slimgrin. He made me his b*tch 4 times in a row before I turned it off. I need to reload slightly earlier and potion up because he's a beast. First time wasn't that bad, I got his health bar almost down to the halfway mark before he got a lucky strike that poisioned me. Every time after that though taking him on was disastrous. I do enjoy a good boss battle though.

I'm not sure if they fixed this, but originally the potion counter would continue during conversations. To be safe, skip through that dialog and get right to the fight.

I b*tched him on my first try in my last Dark mode run, but I was very careful about my build and equipping complementary gear. Jagged blade with brown oil wreaks havoc.

I'm still struggling with arena. Beat it on easy, almost beat it on medium. It's f*cking ludicrous on Dark mode. Unbalanced even.

They haven't fixed it, I did Melitele's Heart just before heading up the path to meet Iorveth, I still had around 3 minutes of buff's left. By the time the fight started they had run out. Best to apply them as your heading up the path I suppose.

I've yet to actually try brown oil. I usually go for falkas blood, hanged mans venom or enemy specific oils like necrophage oil. Which was another issue, I went to oil my sword and found I'd no hanged man's venom left. My own fault for rushing from quest to quest really.

I was attempting to download Witcher 2 through Amazon download which is a 17 gb worth of files. Two days later, it failed to extract, forcing me to download it again. No file integrity checks, wth Amazon? THAT failed as well where in which I went to customer support. They were useless. With almost no hope, I attempted to redeem it on Steam. No luck. Then I went to GoG.com and it worked.

I will now worship CDPR with all I got. You guys just rock!

...

Sorry I had to gush. It's just a relief that I had an alternative way to download the game when the original seller was just sucking.

Free backup from GoG for both games now. They understand the industry and all the **** some people have to go through just to enjoy something they bought.

I assume you redeemed a backup right? Gog has some crazy fast speeds.

I'm glad they finally added Witcher 1 as a backup because I have no idea where my CD's are.

I've been playing The Witcher 2 exclusively for the past week and a half when I got it. Probably the best game I've played in the past several months and easily the best RPG that I've played in years. I nabbed the 2.0 disc version off of Amazon and downloaded the Enhanced Edition later. Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim don't even come close. Great music, voice acting, good graphics and an incredible story really elevate this one above the rest. The original game is still better, but not by much. I can't wait for Witcher 3. That's going to be one hell of an epic game.

So, Cynthia and Adelbert in Loc Muinne. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to defeat them?

Quen, roll, slash.. maybe an aard every now and then :D I haven't done the Iorveth path for the Enhanced edition yet, so I wouldn't know specifically... But generally that is good advice to defeating tough opponents :wizard:

I'm only a few hours into this game but I am so glad I bought it. I hope the first Witcher comes to consoles so I can give it a try.

Time stamps for the topics.  Mike Pondsmith, creator of the Cyberpunk P&P RPG is there and talks about what they hope to do for the game.

For anyone who is taking a break from TW2 but is playing Skyrim, here is a conversion mod that adds a playable geralt, iorveth, letho or triss (ported over from TW2 with CDPR's permission.) It has a lot of the weaponry and armor, and adds drowners and nekkers to the game. As well, if you look at the official plug-ins, there are mods that add geralt, triss, letho and iorveth as companions

So far, I've made Ves with a blue stripes squad as followers. I'll probably play as Iorveth and do a scoi'atel unit, or possibly play as Geralt with only Letho and Triss as companions.  Really good RP potential, and when coupled with the Live another life mod is the closest thing to the awesomest of The Witcher 2 in an open world game like Skyrim.

My Ves:

Here are the needed mods:

Witcher Ultimate Experience - Adds the 4 characters as Playable + armor sets, weaponry, monsters, and signs
WUE Followers - Adds the 4 characters as followers
1H Weapons on Back - Must have as a Witcher. Instead of in a scabbard, 1h swords will be on the back
Bow of Iorveth - High-res textures of the iconic bow.
Blue Stipes Armor for Roche and Ves -  Required if you want to make them.
CDPR Lovely Hairstyles - Ports over all female hairstyles from The Witcher 2 into Skyrim, including Saskia, Sile, the Succubus, etc.
