It is still onger than ME2 :D ANd did ME2 have 16 different endings? More like 1 lol
The game has much mroe content than ME1 and 2 combined. So tired of the bad illusion of choice that ME and DA gave.
Watch and learn, BioWare.
Btw check the preview in gamebanshee.

I can't post links that contain nudity but if you're interested in finding these images in full size then I suggest you to just type "Playboy Triss" in google. :o

Those games have the guy from the books as a protagonist, right?
No customization, gender choice etc.
Just to be sure...

Yeah. CD Projekt RED have considered having a user generated character but have opted for a more well known character. It is still great game even without customising your looks and gender. I hope TW2 will be even better and I'm eagerly waiting for my CE. Also there is a first review out by Polish CD Action, overall score 9.5.:wizard:

EDIT: You don't need to be familiar with the books to enjoy the games or Geralt. He is a great character.

Thanks for the answer. I do believe it's a good game but really dislike this particular character and the book series as a whole. Hope CDProject will try to create some kind of original RPG IP in the future. It would be nice to have a solid story-driven RPG company besides Bioware.

Well shame you won't give it a try but it's okay to dislike some things about it. Yeah I hope they do eventually develop their own IP though they only go for one project at a time. The next thing is possibly TW2 for consoles and then it was hinted that they will continue with The Witcher.

"EXCLUDNG the additional quests."

Figures.

That sounds sounds more like it. But I have to say, I probably spent between 40-70 hrs on every run of TW1, so my expectations of game length are pretty high.

Edit: nevermind. I guess the reviewer confirmed it was indeed most of the game, including side content. I'll wait and see what other reviews say, but it sounds like TW2 may well be the world's shortest rpg. Depressing. ;(

It is a story based rpg, Shepard is no different then Geralt other that you can diddle with the face. But if you dislike the world then yea heh.

Can I diddle:P   and retcon all the books and (if I feel like it) attach boobs to Mr. Geralt . If the answer is no, then I resent the ME comparison. B)

About the whole 24 hour thing.(BTW I'm polish :) ) On the CD Action forums people have been asking the reviewer about it and he said that he did most of the side quests in his playthroughs and missed out a few ( most of which were monster lair destructing quests which are said to be very long). So it is Main Quest + Most of the side Quests = 24 horus ... Though his review partner took a few more hours to do it. This is sad news ... but on the other hand [SPOILER] ACT II is in a different location depending on your choices in ACT I[SPOILER]

Not his type of game I guess :P I would recommend it for any story driven rpg fan but some people just won't like the setting etc.

Well, it happens. In matters like this personal taste is EVERYTHING :)
Can't play characters I do not like - I remember uninstalling Stalker, because I really wished the main character to die.

If you don't like the character Geralt then it would be very difficult to like the game.

My advice is only play what you like.

The reviewers should have mentioned difficulty setting in the review too.  I'm guessing easy to meet their deadline.  Honestly, on a side note, a great review would document the differences between each setting.  I'm curious to know how hard really is.

Difficulty setting, sidequests done, and I´d like to know if they listened to the dialogues. BW games for instance take half the time to finish if you just skip through conversations.

He says 24 hours for the main quest only, right?

One of the workers of CD-Action stated, that the game takes 24hours to complete only the main quest, EXCLUDNG the additional quests.

The main quest of Oblivion is probably only 15 hours or so, but a single playthrough of the game can last hundreds or thousands of hours. I haven't even really started the main quest with my latest playthrough, already a few hundred hours of gameplay.
