There are pros and cons to doing such. I feel personally that it would be better off if they do not import for anymore than across two titles. Look at how negative the impact has become over the years regarding Biowares titles the amount you have to keep track of, the variations in players choices especially with title such as Witcher with greater branching due to choices than any Bioware title, they all keep adding up and lead to failure to keep the narrative and plot correct across multiple titles due to the amount of choices have to take into account. Doing a import across a couple titles as about as much as I feel they will be able to cope with, any more than that and it starts to unravel extremely fast.
When the entire plot of TW2 is made up of choices that will affect the war, when the final choice is something that is significant in regards to the northern kingdoms then you are **** better deliver.
If they had not built the game around that idea and instead chose a self contained story I would fine with, but they did NOT.
Also in regards to Bioware, they DID deliver on several import choices, not all and they did **** it up, but they did do it. Look at Grunt for instance, that was done well or Kasumi, Wrex, Mordin, Tali, Legion....all done well.
Collector Base, Council and other stuff....no.

What difficulty are you on? I definately didn'y need them on normal and not having it meant I could sell all the daggers I found and didn't have to carry the extra weight of the daggers. Not really sure about higher difficulties, I've been carrying them but not used them much.

I've beaten dark mode twice and i didn't used it once in either.

Anyway i really like this game because the choices are so hard, it has very good dialogue and a very interisting story.
Right now i am in act 2 and i am curious where the story is going.

The fight in the cave when fall down with Letho, having that ability and stocked up on daggers made it vastly easier.

There is a way to make it even easier: Lay those bear traps(forgot their name) all over the floor.
It does a lot of damaga and it ignores Quen.

Yeah, to be honest I'm regretting taking them now but I'm just at the end of chapter 1 in my second playthrough(not played in weeks), I was thinking they might come in handier later on. I mostly stick to bombs and traps usually though.One_Sunny_Place wrote...

Ultimately bombs are more powerful. BTW, arrow redirect is definitely not worth it.

In fact I think it would have been much better if the ability to throw daggers was innate and we simply upgraded it with points. As it stands, I never used daggers.

Damn, this is hard!
EDIT: Screw this. I'll just play a different game while i'll think about it

Seriously, turn away if you don't want to be spoiled. Spoiling sucks.
Although Geralt in the novels is a neutral character, following the Witchers' Path, I had my Geralt start Neutral but become invested in Saskia's rebellion.
It opened up Geralt's eyes. There actually could be a place for nonhumans and humans alike.
Anyway, I saved Saskia, resulting in all of the Mages being massacred. Stennis is King. The North is in trouble, and I really fear for it in TW3. Fortunately, I have a back-up plan! Escape to the other Sphere! I'm sure those super Elves won't mind...
So, I've had real trouble deciding on three choices. A little help with morality, if you will? I'm playing a morally good Geralt, though he still retains neutrality if he doesn't see the need to step in.
1. In "Secrets of Loc Muinne", should I kill Cynthia and Adalbert (sp?)? Adalbert deserves to die for torturing Triss, but Cynthia seems rather innocent. And I don't want to pick "Use the artefact." That feels like metagaming.
2. Sile. To kill or not to kill? She wanted to help Aedirn by ridding it of Demavend. But she did intend Saesenthesis to torch Loc Muinne, which is clearly evil. So I'm siding with kill.
3. Letho. To kill or not to kill? He saved Yennefer and Triss (in my save). Yet, every life lost in this War with Nilfgaard will be on Letho's hands. I don't feel he deserves to just relax in a School of the Viper. But I feel bad for killing him.

1. Kill Cynthia. She's trouble.
2. Kill Sile, she's even bigger trouble, but damn she's beautiful...hard for me to let her explode.
3. I usually spare Letho, because I have to admire him as the grand puppeteer in the whole mess, and I believe him when he says he'll go his way and stay out of trouble.

If you already think that the north is in trouble, don't let Cynthia get away.
Otherwise Nilfgaard will not only get the artifact but also the book about the manufactured plague that killed the Vran.

You don't know about that until after making the decision. That's when the final piece of Dearhenna's journal appears, revealing that.
IF the artifact was a weapon I would kill them for sure, but it's not. It's just a listening device. I know that could be used to kill Kings etc. but not necessarily.

I find it well nigh impossible to play a specific morality in the game. In the end, my Geralt is what I'd call selfishly altruistic, less concerned with revenge than coldly accomplishing his plans while looking out for those close to him. If he has to slug a peasant in the gut to get a few extra orens, he'll do it. So with that in mind:
I find it quite fun to shape Geralt's morality in this game. Very easy to play Neutral, but also to play altruistic Neutral, and selfish Neutral.
Only on my 2nd playthrough now though.
Sile's beautiful? I wouldn't know, I spent the entire game looking at Triss, or thinking about Triss. I stayed faithful too, which is apparently quite rare for players to do in The Witcher. No idea what I'm gonna do if Yennefer appears in TW3 though.
I respect Letho. He bested everyone. I just don't feel right letting him relax after everything he has done. All the crap Geralt gets in is because of him. All the trouble we'll be in in TW3 will be because of him.
And I find it mighty suspicious that Letho just happens to perform an act of goodwill towards you, just before deciding his fate. We know he's manipulative, and smart enough to figure out saving Triss may get Geralt off his back. As well as revealing his past.
