If you already think that the north is in trouble, don't let Cynthia get away.
Otherwise Nilfgaard will not only get the artifact but also the book about the manufactured plague that killed the Vran.

You don't know about that until after making the decision. That's when the final piece of Dearhenna's journal appears, revealing that.

IF the artifact was a weapon I would kill them for sure, but it's not. It's just a listening device. I know that could be used to kill Kings etc. but not necessarily.

Emhyr is not really the type of guy who would use a device like that to spy on his confectioner to steal the recipe for his favourite cookies.

The book about the plague is just the biological warfare cherry on top of that. ^_^

If there's a pro-Nilfgaard path in TW3 then I'd let them both go. ^_^

Wha---? Why would you side with Nilfgaard? They condone torture and subjugate Mages and non-humans alike. There's a reason he's called the Emperor.

Having it as a choice would be good though. Sorta the Iorveth/Roche of TW3.

Cynthia WAS pretty attractive. And considering I was quite angry at her being a spy, she won me over in "Secrets of Loc Muinne" as a genuinely likeable character.

Why'd she have to work with Nilfgaard? I didn't want to kill her. :crying:

Outwitting Phillipa makes Cynthia the cleverest person in the game next to Letho.

I didn't care for her pre-EE but that quest made me love her. <3

Actually non-humans have it better in the empire than the north.

More so when she has the courage to be in the same city Phillipa is in and not change her name at all.

Nilfgaard isn't evil. I just see them as a tad too restrictive (and harsh) in terms of the law. It harms it's citizens.

I mean, sure, the Northern Kingdoms have their problems too, but at least they are free. For the most part. Especially in the Pontar Valley. :P

I just finished my EE run on Roche's path. Anais's new toy is a dagger from Roche, her tutor's constable Natalis. She's going to be a major player in TW3, and a royal bad ass. She witnessed her father's death by a witcher and was saved by a witcher, and if she takes the throne... oh bloody awesome. These guys have set up the dynamics for TW3 so well.

For me, Roche is taking care of her since I decided to find out the truth by Triss, thus Roche had to save her by himself, thus he is now wanted. I can;t wait to see how she is when she is older. Being raised by Roche...will be interesting.

Tjough I have like 6 pts for TW2, still need to do the one where I  help Roche save her with the EE.

I am not sure how Nilfgaardian internal policy is, but from what I know it's the nobles who would dislike Nilfgaard as it's an absolutist system with power centralized in the hands of the emperor, which is not the case in the North (yet at least). I'd think the commoners would live more or less the same, if not better in the Empire for the internal stability, peace, order and commerce it would provide. I read that subjected people are treated as second-class citizens, though what that entails in practise is something I do not know. What I do know is that a clearly non-Nilfgaardian by his name, Vattier de Rideaux, is the head of the Imperial secret police and someone the Emperor clearly trusts. So there is some level of meritocracy here (that and the Emperor would be wiser to entrust an outsider with such power rather than a Nilfgaardian noble who can challenge his power).

What I know for certain is that Nilfgaard is not fond of mages, though they obviously have mages in their ranks and seem to award those who can be trusted (Vandehar).

I really can't wait tro see what happens to Enid an Gleanna since the Empire knows she is part of the Lodge.

Their blitzkrieg entrance from the epilogue doesn't speak well for their treatment of common people.

Little piece of advice... Emhyr trusts no-one.

In regards to joining Nilfgaard. I'd do it without hesitation if I was given the right offer. Hell if the game presents the situation well I'd be willing to kill Roche, Triss, Ves, Radovid and Henselt without hesitation for the same kind of deal Emhyr gave Letho.

Addai: Pretty common for the era, at least no one is raping the women. So I don't see how they worse then the north because of that.

Because they must be doing it right? <_<

I'd imagine they are under orders to not stop their march for such things. A blitzkreig is not effective is they stop at every village to rape and plunder.

It's war and pretty much the norm. It is no indication of how people are treated in peace time.

@ House
They'd most probably be executed.

@ Damariel
Emhyr trusted Vattier enough to let him know of his plan. No one else knew except Letho.
