Emhyr trusted Vattier enough to let him know of his plan. No one else knew except Letho.

Well he need someone to blame if it would be failure. Letho could be dead so...

The plan was a secret, Emhyr wouldn't need to blame anyone for failing at something no one knows about.

Slightly different topic, but what role do you think the Wild Hunt will play in TW3?

Will we go to their Sphere, perhaps?

Geralt hates politics and politicians, doesn't mean he's not usually trapped in circumstances which force him to be involved. Probably thinking something along the lines of "I'm neck deep in ****" the entire time.

Emhyr hates to losing... it's easier to blame somebody than himself for him. ( but still it's only my opinion on our precious emperor.)

He's like that in the novel?

I hope not.

Unlikely Emhyr strikes me as a ruler more cunning and dangerous than any of the Northern monarchs who may lash out at subordinates. The Emperor given his past history is not going to tolerate failures, but look at the assault on Thanedd Island. It didn't achieve all it was supposed to, and despite it being Vattier's responsibility. Emhyr and Vattier began to search for traitor's in the ranks. Hence The Emperor seems to have a more trust in him than his other subordinates, at least for now.

The author of the novels (Sapkowski) oversees the games, but CDProjektRED has been allowed to take liberties with the characters, so Emhyr may be different by the time of TW3.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the games were non-canon to the novels. They are two separate levels of canon.

At least they can do anything they want with the end of TW3 this way.

Every time I see Tywin, the "Rains of Castamere" song comes into my head.

If Ciri is going to be invovled in TW3(which she most likely will if Duny and Yen are) You can for sure count Eredin Bréacc Glas to also be involved possibly in his elven form, not his spectral form like he did in TW.

(I think I'm the only one uses Emhyr's real name here XD)

In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws.

I'm happy to have some Mages rule. Just not the Lodge. They're waaaay too manipulative. Everything the Lodge does is to benefit magic, and magic only. This scenario with Demavend and Saskia is just the nail in the coffin.

This snippet is tantalizing: "We have just started our new, still secret, project and its scale exceeds the previous two combined."

I know devs will toot their own horn, but I hope it's at least partly true for Cyberpunk.

If there's a pro-Nilfgaard path in TW3 then I'd let them both go. ^_^

Wha---? Why would you side with Nilfgaard? They condone torture and subjugate Mages and non-humans alike. There's a reason he's called the Emperor.

Having it as a choice would be good though. Sorta the Iorveth/Roche of TW3.

Cynthia's my waifu and if she says Nilfgaard is good, then they're alright with me.
