Whatever MP ends up being, I'm sure they'll put a lot of effort/research/trial into it. It won't be some half assed tack on.
If a bunch of people end up hating it, they'll most likely just scratch it off future titles. They don't strike me as the type of developer to force something that just isn't clicking.

Whatever. I think MP is a detraction from deep single player games and mostly a gimmick. I don't care if they make it, just hope it doesn't take many zots and I want to see nothing of it in the SP campaign.hangmans tree wrote...
I see it as progress. They want to make better and better entertainment. MP is the next step, question is HOW and in WHAT FORM are they gonna incorporate this feature.
Maybe they will come up with something other than 'multiplayer' and 'co-op', bringing us a whole new level of fun. They messed with us creating split storyline, they can screw with us with online features.

While they should focus on the story and SP first a foremost, MP might be fun.

Anyway, to anyone completely in with the Witcher lore: is Loc Muinne in Aedirn? Or is it unaffiliated, situated in the Blue Mountains?
I've already searched the internet and it didn't tell me so I ask you.
OT: "The Last Wish" has been amazing so far. I do find myself re-reading each chapter due to how much depth is in each word though. A good thing, that is.

Every time I watch the scene with Nilfgaard in the ending, I keep getting chills. One of the greatest things they added in the Extended Cut, imo.
True, made me excited for TW3 more than anything else.

I don't think we're going to see much of the war, honestly. TW3 will more than likely take place in Nilfgaard. We might see the economic repercussions, but that's about it.

If they once again go with a three act structure, I'd guess Acts I and II would be in Nilfgaard, while Act III would be back in the North.

I heard two contradictory things IIRC. Roche says it's in Kaedwen before Henselt conquers the Pontar. But the map clearly shows it in the Pontar Valley.

Ah, right. I remember Iorveth's Path much more vividly than Roche's.
On the Witcher 2 map Loc Muinne is in the Blue Mountains, just outside of Aedirn. It's outside all borders, so I thought that would make it unafilliated? Especially since nobody seems to live there. Plus it makes sense, as a neutral meeting ground for the "peace" talks.
OT: Just finished "The Last Wish". Well, that was awesome. Truly didn't expect Yennefer to be like that. Welp, I've already started "Blood of Elves". And then I'll likely play TW2 again.

Yennefer's not easy to like in The Last Wish. By that I mean she's a manipulative little beeotch.
That's what made me like her actually.

And Geralt too, it would seem.
I must say I was extremely surprised by her character in TLW. But I think Geralt saw a lot of himself in Yennefer. The fact that she was able to outsmart him intrigued Geralt, I think. Spoilers for Last Wish here: And that she spared Dandellion, even trying to prove Geralt's innocence showed that she really isn't as harsh as she might appear.
I mean, you're going to harden if you're a hunchback, cripple, sorceress or Witcher, aren't you? Society shuns you.
Also, does kissing = mind-control in the Witcher universe? Because people should avoid that, it seems to lead to trouble.

She's much more likeable in "Blood of Elves". But yeah, could not for the life of me figure out why Geralt went after her. The Geralt i played in the games would've shunned the **** and gone to the brothel.

Yup. It should be in the Pontar Valley at the foot of the Blue Mountains, iirc.

Seems like they intend the story to change based on what class you pick. That holds a lot of possibilities for a developer like CDPR.
