Wow that is a well thought out game element that could add immersion to games!
Immersion is another thing Witcher 2 has going for it.
A question for the people who read the books. Why don't Witcher's slay dragons? I was reading the gamebanshee article's comments.
because witcher consider dragon not as monster but as wise creature who can speak, use magic and don't prey on humans.they only kill humans when they try to steal them or kill their babys. it' exist only a few of them on witcher world ( they are prey for their skin , tresure ..) but are very strong.wicher don't look them as challenge as a hunter t .geralt also said he never kill a dragon if they don't prey on humans.
and folks don't try to imagine how many hour ect ... the game is between 35 or 50 to finish it and if you rush without quest 25-30 but if you aren't a fool you don't do that if I was wicked I tell you to stop the wanking and wait on 17/05 if you aren't sure and wait for the reviews:whistle:

Just curious why it's against Witcher code.
At least in books 1-6 he only meets (and befriends) a dragon. Who is a rather nice guy who protects other creatures and otherwise didn´t engage in the usual dragon tropes. I don´t remember anything about being against Witcher code.

I don't see your problem. 20 hours for just the main quest is one of the LONGEST main quests I've ever seen. Every BioWare game (except maybe DAO) since BG2 has a main quest shorter than 15 hours.Archaven wrote...
I still refused to believe it's 20hours.. From what i've seen so far.. I just don't think so. Even crappy DA2 was longer. So nay.. i refuse to believe it for now.
As for Dragon Fail 2, it lasted me about 45 hours to do all crappy repatative quests seeing the same crap over and over. I had much more fun with Fable's 20 hours

20hours including all sidequests and unhurried gameplay according to reviewers.

There are quite number of reviewers giving inconsistent gameplay hours. Take it as a grain salt. Here is another one:

Credits to nocny from TW2 board:
My summary of the interview - Google Translator:
Konrad said:
- The main storyline, the quickly, no side quests, easy level - about 30 hours of gameplay
- At higher levels the game will be longer
- They wanted to avoid the quests in which players must run a lot. Because people complain that they must run a lot in the game.
- Witcher 2 will not close the whole story! The story in TW2 develops and explains a lot, but does not end. The second Witcher does not close all the threads. However, Conrad did not announce officially.

Actually there is no witcher's code. Geralt made it up. Hiding behind a code was his way of refusing a request he didn't want to accept, such as killing intelligent and harmless creatures.
Not killing dragons was his personal choice.
