I don't know about the "legend" part, but I'm hoping Witcher 2 and Skyrim, will raise the bar above the abysmal nosedive known as DA2.

My guess is the reason DA2 was released prematurely was because BioWare knew they needed to get it out before Witcher 2 took the wind out of their sails.

Reviews matter little to me (look at Alpha Protocol, IMO 4/5 easily), but they do matter to other buyers so I hope it gets good scores. GameSpot and IGN have the biggest influence, so it's those reviews I'm waiting for

and for france the most pc player review is chocapic of gamekult in all the review never more than 9/10 an,d only 4 times^^ ( i wait for his review)

I don't know if they give the best reviews though...

Really, I don't cement my expectations into review scores either, but when they start out in the high 90's, that's a good sign.

Gamespot gave DA2 a generous 8, still more reasonable then the fake 10 from the escapist. My prob with reviews is that long games are not played through very far by the reviewers. Escapist allows like 5-10 hours. I think Gamespot has a limit as well. It seems the European mags are a bit more serious about what they do, playing all the way through these games.

Just noticed DA2 got 12/20 from that french magazine. That 19/20 is looking pretty sweet in this case.

Exactly. But I suppose it's to get as many reviews out for minimum cost.

These reviews should be devoting space to the technical side of the game. I'm sure plenty of people want to know how well it runs on various settings and hardware.

well PC gamers are required to have at least some basic knowledge about hardware they got in their rigs and minimum/optimum requirements are pretty much set... in game settings you can setup the rest of the things necessary for smooth playing...

and reviewers have not that much time to run the games on various PCs...

EDIT: but many reviewers mention their hardware and how it runs... so to get wider scope of what can run the game you just have to read through some of the reviews..
