"Furthermore, in future, we discussed the creation of a second title, which will fill the gap between successive witchers and further stabilize our results. Perhaps we will be in the world of RPGs, because they know each other well. I can not reveal further details because they did not came out yet beyond the preliminary considerations. Since the construction of strong global brands and in our opinion is the best idea in the long-term profits, we can assume that it will also be multi-sectional saga."

It's never special for Archaven. He just uses you then leaves.

It just boggles the mind how awesome this game is going to be... And to think how they have done it. With a relatively small budget, relatively inexperienced team, a no-compromise dark fantasy style, PC-focus, free DLC, no DRM, 40h gameplay, revolutionary game-engine, amazing production values, adding depth instead of removing it...
This game just feels impossibly sublime in today's gaming industry, where everything is supposed to be mainstream, bland and 'for everyone'. It's hard to grasp how BioWare, at the same time seems to just nod and accept defeat without even a fight. DA2 to me was as if they just gave up and threw in the towel - I didn't detect a single ounce of ambition or resolve in that game. Seems like they didn't even consider truly answering to the challenge set by competitors such as Witcher 2.
Well, I hope its as good as we're all expecting, hard not to get stoked by those trailers which pull all the right strings. No cheesy rock music or Micheale bay sensibilities.
In regard to Bioware, I have this vision of a single tear of regret streaming down Muzyka's face right now..lol. Seriously though, I just think the team was shortchanged and shifted priorities when making DA2, which is regrettable. I still hold out hope ME3 will be great.

Wasn't there some talk of many if not all of the Witcher 2's (and Witcher 1's) writers leaving CD Project after they had finished writing Witcher 2?
There was. Maybe some of our Polish friends can give details. I hate to think the same talent isn't there anymore.

Actually there is no full symphonic orchestra in TW2. It was too expansive to record.
Source ( interview with the creators of the soundtrack-polish):

However 20 may there is a film music festival in Crackow,Poland.
There will be a symphonic orchestra performing TW2 score live.
I'm sure it will come up in you tube sooner or later.

I'm not willing to accept the inarguable disappointment and underachievement that was DA2 in any way, but I too still hold out some hope with BioWare. I'm not a big Mass Effect fan (I don't really much like shooter gameplay), but there is always DA3. And I think in a post-Witcher 2 world it will be much more difficult for BioWare to get a away with a sub-standard game like DA2. CD Project's achievements may force BioWare to step up their game.
And as regards to the writers, I think it might be problematic to replace such talent. Just how many high quality Polish fantasy writers are there, who are also able to write for RPGs?

After TW1 and TW2 they will probably keep these writers, it is just that the story is finished and they want to move on until the witcher 3 is in production. Just guessing, but your are right, it is a bit concerning.Wyndham711 wrote...

I wonder how they did it then, because it sure sounds like full orchestral music to me.

My guess is, they recorded it separately and then layered/synchronized it.
They said, that parts of the score would require more than 70 musicians performing simultaneously, that's something they could not afford.
To be honest,I couldn't care less. I am tone death, and it sounds fine to me
I think Bulletstorm was the only polish production that had live orchestra, but than PCF had two reach daddies looking over its shoulder (Epic and EA ) stuffing their pockets full of dough

Well...I'm not so dramatic. While I am dissapointed with Dragon Age 2 I really did enjoy the combat and change from saving the world plot. Dragon Age 2 was more about the politics it just wasn't excuted very well Witcher however does.
I'll most likely buy the next Dragon Age and definitely Mass Effect 3 and The Old Republic just now I will criticize them for what they did to DA2. I really hope they learned their lesson and hope that CDProjekt teaches them a lesson.

Apparently CD Projekt is planing on a new RPG franchise, heres a short extract from an interview with Michal Kicinski, CDP co-founder ( google translated) :

Well, there is enough lore out there in Sapkowski's world for other titles, but I don't mind if they come up with new IPs.
