Cool.. It's good to support great developers like CDPR!. The game itself is a piece art.. Even in game the MAP looks gorgeous. Clearly it shows developer put EFFORT, HEART and LOVE in the game.
I bought Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut too.. just to support CDPR. $4.99 only.. Don't miss the deal.

I don't think I could ever be persuaded to buy extra copies of the same game, no matter what game it is.
Which day is the $4.99 sale supposed to start for TW1?

I think I bought Witcher 1 twice because I lost the disc. I bought Enhanced Edition when it came out to support them and gave a friend my old Witcher 1 game and bought it when it came on Steam cause I love Steam.
@Shirosaki17 Maybe I do >.>
@Archaven Doh I'm slow I kept thinking it was a soundtrack download like DA2 was. I can't have any audio that isn't flac.

Thanks! just bought it and i'm downloading now. will be fun to try again before starting TW2
previously i played it on a POS computer. This has been a good week - I got ME1 and TW1 for less than $10 total.
EDIT: just saw that there are a lot of mods for TW1 - including hi res textures
I'll have to try installing some of these
On the download shelf for GOG, I see some other things that look like comic books. What are these things? free games? Teen Agent, Beneath a Steel Sky, Lair of the Temptress, Tyrian 2000

Following some tips from GoG's forum I could bring it down to 8GB which is pretty much what I had when installed the EE DVD version long ago. If the only language you are interested in having installed is English, you have to manually delete the other language files plus the Sex Cards duplicate files, as instructed here: (you can also choose to keep any of the several language packs. They are all identified in the link bellow)

I'm NO hardcore fans lol.. the witcher lore don't even interest me to be honest. But CDPR interest me with their immersive games and they amazed me with the combat!. I've watched the CDPR spring 2011 conference and when they played the game using bombs, signs, traps and involves some player skills.. and also the 'Living world' trailers.. i have no idea how many times i rewatched it lol.
As i said, i'm neutral. I played all sorts of games. If a developer put effort, heart and love in a game i feel they should be rewarded. And if a developer put on sale DLC item pack which was supposed to be IN the game.. this clearly angers me.

I just don't understand how they can have multiple locations and have all this going on, and in Kirkwall you have...well you know. Need to finish my current playthrough of TW1 before this launches ><

Oh yes, and now I hope BioWare for his next project (specially DA3) will use TW2's Engine.Time has come for BioWare to admit their one doesn't fit anymore

TW2 (and CDPR of course :free DLCs) is the new standard of excellence, BioWare have no more the choice to release their future game of at least this quality. After the DA2 epic fail, if DA3 still use the same engine, it is no need to make it.
How do you expect dem to regain the "King of RPGs maker" statut?

Bioware are too comfortable and are unwilling to move out of their comfort zone. Thing is they'll need to license a formidable current state of the art engine and probably need to send them for training for at least few months in order to be familiar in using the tools to design/create/develop the game.
They are sticking to their old engine and modifying bits by bits and hoping the game would still sells as their motto is always story sells .. graphics do not. Which i can't argue it is true.. but they failed in their storyline compartment too.

and bioware never buy the red engine because they will do one home but i think for them buying red engine will be less expensive
and about dragon age 2 epic faul lol it sell him 2 000 000 copy for them it's a huge sucess ( even if that they have deceived the fan of the franchise for that i will never buy a da3 perhaps i buy me3)
