Bioware, I highly doubt they would license the RED Engine as much as I'd like them to. They always use their own crappy engines for their games except Mass Effect I guess cause it's shooter/rpg hybrid. Like Archaven said it'd be more beneficial to create an engine themselves that they know the ins and outs.
But you can't expect Bioware to make an engine as good as RED because they make games simultaneously for all systems so it would take more work from Bioware to make one game which they probably won't do.

On the download shelf for GOG, I see some other things that look like comic books. What are these things? free games? Teen Agent, Beneath a Steel Sky, Lair of the Temptress, Tyrian 2000
Yeah...those Titles you see that you didn't Purchase yourself are Free to download. Nothin Spectacular...but Free is Free.

Just look at how uncompromising Witcher 2 is in terms of its story: for instance, the game truly expects the player to be somewhat knowledgeable of the first game's events. DA2, on the other hand, was practically a reboot in terms of requiring existing knowledge from the player. It was the 'everyone must enjoy this' mentality again.

Lol, it was made for those who quit the previous game after 1 hour, what did you expect?
This Upload Gameplay Feedback feature is a load of crap, because they interpret the feedback in their own way, and alas, that's what you get.
I wonder what they will think that I've turned off from Nightmare to Casual a few bossfights: that the bossfights was as hard as they are intended, or I wasn't stupid enough to do the same 3 things over and over again for 30 mins, because a few phases and trillions of HP belongs to MMOs.

Thanks for that. I know it has to be a pain in the ass doing those vids with one hand.
Those dice and cards look good. I like how they used the 4 kings in the trailer for the 4 kings. Also, Triss being the Queen of Hearts fits. Too bad there doesn't appear to be a card for Geralt. Are the card games in the instructional booklet just poker?
Well I am skilled with doing things one handed.
Now that you mention it, it does seem weird that there is no Geralt card. Makes sense that Dandelion is the Joker card though. Not had a chance to read through it yet since my nieces are staying over now and I don't want to risk them getting their hands on it naturally.

Whatever anyone says DA2 did sell well it may not have outsold Dragon Age Origins but it 2 million maybe more.
Aye, and with the reduced costs (one year dev cycle as opposed to the five years Origins took) they no doubt got greater returns per copy than they did with Origins. I hate to say it, but if they can produce Dragon Age games of that quality every year and sell similar numbers of copies then they will make vastly more money than the five year development cycle, and so I see no reason for them to want to go back.
Mass production over quality I'm afraid, about the only hope we have is that DA2 ends up damaging the franchise too much for them to be able to pull that off again.

They are interested in generalization to appeal for wider audience. It's not about designing what games people like to play anymore. It's about designing a game that can appeal to wider audience and hence better revenue.

Indeed, though I would have thought/hoped BioWare had more creative backbone and principle than it now seems. :/ Though I'm still very happy about the existence of passionate, no-compromise, proud of their craft studios like CD Project!

When they are shooting posts like this down with "False sense of entitlement/You are not a shareholder!" answers, it's hard to understand why they are expecting us to cheer for them.
Especially with the dev responds regarding the critique on DA2.
Us loving them is their false sense of entitlement. One can wonder how the other development teams are so different than the Dragon Age one.

I want Friendly Fire. Why couldn´t they include a toggle? (I read their reasons, made no sense to me besides understimating players´s intelligence). If I play through the game any more times I´ll probably fight end chapter bosses on Casual. 30 minutes kiting? No fun to me.
