I think I read somewhere in the official community or support tabs that CE owners who got screwed with the delayed activation will gain some form of compensation... We wants it too!!!

I really hope this game doesn't get pirated....I will buy it in June as soon as I do all my ending exams and school is finally DONE! Than I will start playing TW2
Some people would pirate even free games it seems.
I had to order CE from Amazon as it wasn´t distributed in my country, ironic considering all the books are already translated. With luck I´ll get it next week.
yep, a huge amount of people pirated the "pay what you want" bundle last year, you could literally pay $1 for a bundle of indie games and people still didn't want to pay $1
there will always be people with more time than money, DRM never has anything to do with it unless the DRM is draconian, some people just aren't worth it

130K spoken words, 80 non-linear quests, 15 fights with bosses & mini bossess, 16 unique endings...
will have to see for ourselves if it's really that damn good
@Darthcaine
Awww that brokes my heart... Pirates still able to play the game before the customers. Bet they are pretty happy now and yell at CDPR we own all PC developers..

Only users who will try to use their old account from the first Witcher
game might experience a problem with registration. If you create a new
account while registering the game, you will NOT have any problems with
playing The Witcher 2.

Having never finishing TW1, can anyone explain what these endings mean?

I've only one canon save: Neutral Geralt who chose Triss. Here, for people asking for it:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T1TP3TX5
Choices made: (I believe these are the "right" choices, at least for me)
Prologue:
Didn't fight the Frightener
Act 1:
Gave supplies to Scoia'tael
Saved Abigail
Act 2:
Sided with the Scoia'tael
Act 3:
Chose Triss (preferred Shani, but chose Triss since Shani isn't in TW2)
Cured the werewolf
Sided with the Scoia'tael
Act 4:
Compromised with the villagers and the Vodyanoi
Spared Berengar
Chose neutral
Act 5:
Saved Adda
Epilogue:
Fought the King of the Wild Hunt
I did every single quest (including trophies, dice poker, fist fighting, board quests etc) and collected every sex card.
BTW, CD Projekt said you don't really need a save since you can make your TW1 choices at the start of TW2

Oh alright. I tried and tried and tried to get into TW1 but the *click click click* combat turned me off. I'm hoping 2 isn't the same. Though I did preorder via GoG since 1. the game is beautiful, 2 CDP seems to care about the fan base with making DLC free. 3. It's a deep rpg that deserves support so that more deep RPG's will continue to be made 4. I read the game informer preview about a month back I think it was, that stated that depending on the choices a player makes, it opens different areas of the world up. Like say a town or different quests lines that you might not see on a different playthrough depending on what choices you made early on.
That right there is replayablility and an awesome thing if they did manage to pull it off.

Yup, specifically if you want to know depending on your choices ACT II of the game can be set in 2 different places with different story progression and quests.
Also did anyone who chose to fight the Kind of the Wild Hunt at the end of The Witcher loot his body? I don't know if what you find on him can be used in the second game but it will be so cool if it does matter

What, I was unable to loot him since I was in combat.
Maybe a reload is in order.

I found out about it form the Wiki and then I figured out that I have to kill him as far away as possible form the Grand Master so I could exit combat mode and loot his body.

Thanks for that info Tamahome. That's really very cool. I love the idea of player choice actually REALLY affecting the rest of the story. Unlike the last couple titles from a developer who's name shall remain unnamed.

As for The Wild Hunt, they have a confirmed appearance in TW2, so I'm guessing you didn't actually kill The King

Yeah it probably won't matter but it is a little thing that a lot of people seem to have missed

Just play the first Witcher on easy if you really don't like the combat. The story alone is worth the clicking.
Sarah, I was going to suggest the same. And on "Apprentice" Mode you can finish the game fast. But the combat is not a click-fest, it's quite the contraire. It's timed clicks to chain combo attacks. And when you have a level 4 or 5 talents with some sword styles, you might be amazed by the combat. Try an easy diff run. There's nothing like actually doing the choices yourself. If you just pick them up at the start of TW2 or d/l a savegame file... it's not the same. Plus, the game is worthy another chance! =)
Those who have Raven's Armor at the end of TW1 will have it at the start of TW2, I read it... that alone is worth a full TW1 run since you can only get that armor crafted late in the game!

Thanks for the advice folks, I may give that a go this evening and see how far I get. Does anyone know what time GoG will be releasing the rest of the files for the game? Are they doing a midnight release dealy or anything like that?
