All DLC CD project will ever release is going to be free, including Trolls.

Wow Bioware you just got owned.

Well, it really just depends on if they think free DLC will net them a bigger audience, and if they have the means to give out the DLC without a price tag. It will be interesting to see what happens because of it, if anything.

Ok I am going to buy it haha but a couple more questions please if someone could answer is the combat system easy to get used to and fun? And is leveling your character easy and is there multiple choices you can choose while leveling your character for example you could take one skill tree and invest all your points into that then if you want to try something new you start a new game and invest your skill points into a diferent type of tree so you can play a game with new abilities?

The combat is not easy, TW1 combat was much easier. Don't know if it's fun, depends what you like.

Romances are not like the Bioware games so don't expect anything similar.

You get multiple choices for character development.

I really want to buy this but the only thing I am scared about is the combat system arghh kill me cause I can go pick it up in a few hours but this is the only ting that's killing me inside I have watched videos but a demo of the game one that you can play would be amazing but there isn't one and pirating this game may stop me for getting all the DLC's since don't you need to register the game online and have a internet connection?

Yay! That's great Auto! Still downloading the DLC here. At least I think I am. This flashing lil box says downloading anyway. (Think they could have devised a better system than this personally)

Yep, to patch the game and download any DLC content they release you have to have a regiistered copy of the game.

For what it's worth, I enjoy TW2's combat system quite a bit more than I did the one in the original game.

You can play the game on easy if you find the combat difficult but even on easy i think you will die many times in the game because of the QTE's

How different is the romance in this game is it like Dragon Age 2 how you can get a girl friend or is The Witcher 2 just one night stands?

From Official site, looks like a little server downtime:

Dear Fans!

We ask for a little bit of your patience while we make some adjustments and optimizations to the servers hosting The Witcher 2.

Planned time of the downtime: 23:30
Planned downtime: 40 minutes

Problems that may occur:
- new users won't be able to register the game
- users won't be able to download the DLCs (lang packs, patch, addons)

Affected:
- all users

We apologize you for any inconvenience and will do our best to bring back the services working ASAP

So...my copy is shipping from Amazon today...as I wait for the next few days, does anyone have any OBJECTIVE reviews of this game? None of this "Bioware sucks and CDP rules!" type stuff. Looking for DX11 performance, technical glitches, fun factor, story, voice acting, etc.

I'm quite happy about CDPR staying as far away from EA (or Activision, or Ubisoft) as they possibly could. Or do you honestly think the rushed dev cycle for DA2 was BioWares fault? Or, just maybe, the lack of any AAA title in Q4 2010 was the reason why it had to be released - to generate sales and please the shareholders?

Then again, they could join forces with Bethesda. Zeni Max is a private company, no public corporation.

Not sure so far, i know there are one night stands but have not explored any romance in the game, to busy trying to stay alive.

There is Triss but not sure if there is a second romance option.

Damn, I just beat the Penitent Monk in Act 1 and the game promised me something unlockable if I visit the site. :(

Ok, I've finished the prologue and I think I'm getting better at the combat. Thanks for the tip Archaven, the Irden sign really helped! But for me at least there is clearly an issue/bug with blocking. I don't know about you guys, but there are some moments when Geralt just won't block! I keep pressing "E" and he won't do a thing! I have to change his position, do something else and blocking works again.

Also, the stealth part could get better polish and AI. It was so so, I expected better.

All the QTEs worked well, no problems with that. I should mention that the game has great pacing, the Prologue itself was amazing. I was excited the whole and the ending after the battle really delivered.

Blocking requires Vigor, or whatever Endurance is called now.

Stamina bar. Blocking and the signs are using it.

The only thing that's changed in the Austrailian version is the conclusion of a single side-quest, from what I understand. Other than that, all the same.
