The weak? That's how you saw that? Interesting. Disturbing, but interesting.

I want a [punch NPC] in every dialogue option.

Innocent, and/or vulnerable might be a better term for those of us NOT of a homicidal disposition. I agree, nonetheless. The knife was quite fitting, though my character was more far likely to hammer an axe into their skull than anything else.

Actually, I prefer the kill animation to change according to class. At least make it different for mages. I find it meh that a mage would use a knife, it's anti-climactic.

To be honest, all of them were pretty weak. Well, Connor did almost wipe out Redcliffe completely.

Mages should use lightning bolts. The ones that make target's eyeballs explode.

I asked about the Murder Knife and I seem to remember them saying it'll change with each weapon or something like that.

The murder knife does show up in the Rise to Power trailer when Hawke kills a guard in Kirkwall.

A part of me wishes they stick with that murder knife so that it becomes a running joke in the series.

I liked this special knife for those situations and that it's back in DA2. It doesn't always have to be against the weak, though. There are others who I'd like to use it on :)

I thought knives in Dragon Age were the size of short-swords.

But what is that thing the Warden stabs people with, then?

I don't think I've seen any of these cutscenes before.

I giggled. Strange, I'd usually be unhappy about the use of casual violence against a love interest.

Still, they are too huge! I would have expected the knife to be at least half the size of those undersized swords.

I do have an urge to go Annoying Orange on people when these cutscenes happen though. I only do them if I am bored, I never want my warden to kill the innocent or weak.

This is what DA:O taught me:

For war use this:

For murder use this:

You see, war is about stamina and skill and honor and beating each other over the head multiple times with a big metal object.  Murder needs to be a subtle, efficient, one hit kill affair.
The more you know!  :wizard:

I'm saying that the daggers are the one that looked like short swords. The murder knife the Warden used was tiny.

...I wonder if they ever used it for cooking purposes...

it's a kitchen knife!!  (http://images.knifec...s/KSTDM0706.jpg)

i don't dislike those sort of killing, but, yes, they ought to be class-specific and the knife, if applicable to your class (a mage should freeze the target and then tip it over to shatter in pieces or something as dramatic) should be a nicer thing.

I don't understand why it's there at all.. If I was dying I'd like to make sure it was quick and painless. Use the two handed sword/axe on me please, not some little pigsticker.
