But look at it the other way. Maybe after talking about it here there'll be less violence on the streets?

But seriously, talking about killing in game is a bit different from talking about real murders. So i really advise you to apply a lighter approach to the topic. It makes it even funny this way )

And back to topic, maybe you'll share your opinion on the murder knife?

i'll laugh pretty hard if i see hawke stabbing someone with a blunt weapon.

Not true, my post was about how murders should be displayed in a brutal and personal way in order to elicit an emotional response from the player.

So it was more about cinematic direction than "how" to murder people.  Just saying.

But you know, talking about cinematic while talking about murdering people may make you seem even more crazy and coldblooded in the eyes of others )

Psh, amateur.  I was calling for the Warden to strangle Jowan with his bare hands while the latter begged for mercy.  Then said something about how "your protagonist is bad, and you should feel bad."

That's dramatic.  The murder knife is for murdering people.  Murder is personal.  It should be as different from every other kill in the game as it can get, in my opinion, or it loses dramatic value.

That's dramatic.  The murder knife is for murdering people.  Murder is personal.  It should be as different from every other kill in the game as it can get, in my opinion, or it loses dramatic value.

just stabbing doesn't cut it, you need to twirl the blade after you stick it.

Do you reckon a blinding slice across the eyes, then a throat stab, would get past the ratings committee? Nothing too explicit a la Deadly Reflexes mod for Oblivion but you get the idea.

Violence always gets by.  But don't you dare put morphine in your game! You'll have to rename it to something benign so kids won't get the idea that drugs are okay.

On Jowan...why is it that if you want to set him free, you are able to open the cell door, but if you want to kill him, he has to willingly walk up to the door so you can stab him through it? I would have liked to have had the option to kick the door down and throw the murder knife between his eyes, or disappear through stealth, and then re-appear behind him and slash his throat.

The first time I witnessed a mace to the face Ogre stab was when a tower guard at Ostagar got the killing blow animation.

It was awesome. I totally wanted to draft him into the Wardens.
