Hey...
Is the search function broken lately or is it some problem on my side?

I'm not sure about the "lately" part. Has it changed for you?
The search function always returns the older 51 posts. <_< Using Google works better.

Right, i should have made the "broken" part more understandable.
When i enter a seach query then all i get is a broken site that gives me a list of sub-categories of the forum. But it will not go beyond that. It never actually gives me the results and it doesn't finish loading the search-page properly.
I made a pic:

With lately i mean today... i havent used the search function regularily in the last weeks. But it was ok a few weeks ago

Now this is just weird. If I search for "legion loves shepard" or "legion shepard" I get the same screen you do. If I search for "legion" or "shepard" if works.

Just tried searching for "kaidan ashley" - broken. "Kaidan" and "Ashley" work.
And, oddly, it's not based on the search being multiple words either. "Skip the fade" and "DA podcast" work.
Anyway, no it's not just you. Have you notified the forum bosses?

That's how the search has been working for some time now. It searches through thread titles and not its contents. If the OP names their thread differently (or makes a typo), you won't find it with the search parameters you enter.
That's why a single word search is more effective than entering many words - though the other problems are that the engine gives you the oldest entries first and only 51 of them (if there are more threads containing the same words you search for, they won't show at all).
If you want to search for specific key words in posts, google with the results limited to this site only works better (you need to put site:social.bioware.com before the search parameters)

Arlana, thanks for explaining. Also thanks for the tip with google.
I understand that search functions are very costly concerning CPU-time of the server, but those restrictions really make it difficult to use at all.
