Hi,

Can I choose an Inn for example, where I can drop some of my loot? Will it stay there? Do the items decay after a while?

Any plot critical items will not decay. Any other items will after a bit...how long depends on the item, but almost nothing will survive longer than a game week.



Items placed into a container will keep forever. In BG1, I use the Friendly Arm (there's a cabinet in the NE corner of the main floor of the tavern), in BG2, I use the tables just outside the entrance to the Copper Coronet.

If you want to keep them, put them in a chest or sell them. (I sell the pommel of a sword in Waukeen's Promenade as it is a while before I will need it).You can buy them back later.

Don't sell them to thieves however. You might not be able to use that shop in the future.

I was talking about Baldur's Gate 1. I might finally finish this game someday!!! LOL
