You don't think that's just the tiniest bit condescending to console players?

Thats the vibe I got from the author:

dispensing with the more considered, chess-like pace of the first game
for something more attuned to those with a short attention span.

wade in with a big sword and get hacking.

While we're not entirely sure why we're dismembering a few weedy  miscreants, the ensuing battle... no wait... one-sided massacre, is  enjoyably gory and the control system is immensely intuitive, even for a button-mashing action gamer weaned on less tactical fare.

you can still hammer the A button for a chain of basic attacks, before  punctuating a combo with a swift and lethal special attack. You can also tap A with a direction for an evasive roll,

Oh hey, look, I can quote things too, only I do it in the proper context!

Pitchforks and torches might be in the air where hardcore Dragon Age: Origins fans are concerned over BioWare's declaration that Dragon Age II will be embracing a more action-oriented approach, dispensing with the more considered, chess-like pace of the first game for something more attuned to those with a short attention span. In reality however, Dragon Age II seems to strike a perfect balance between strategy and action, presenting players with the opportunity to play tactically or wade in with a big sword and get hacking. It's what BioWare's Ray Muzyka calls “a shot of adrenaline” for the series.

That would be the FULL paragraph from which you chose to cherry-pick your very first quote (EDIT: and second quote). Yeah, you know, if you're going to quote things you might want to be more accurate.

Strange since it's posted on a 360 site. :P  BioWare needs to hurry up and give PC Gamer an exclusive spread in their magazine before launch.

Yes they do. I'm starting to feel like a lowly PC serf.

And I don't care what anyone says, Brockololly's post was hilarious.

... still unnecessary, I'm tired of this platform war that's going on this forum, especially since it's rather one sided. :-/

I have a dream, that some day, a man (or woman) will not be judged by the gaming platform they prefer most.. I have a dream.

Oh yeah, it's absolutely hilarious when someone mocks console users for no good reason and/or twists the truth to serve their own purposes. Let's all laugh along!

Most articles thus far about this, 'Dragon Age 2' ( you'll notice I used the word 'thus') have been lacking in what I would call a respectable summary of relevant information.

Prolly not  but it made me smirk. I mean the PC users get it too with the lame "dress up" and "excell spread sheet" comments. Lighten up. :P

I'll "lighten up" when there's less condescending remarks going around.

Encountering a gang of thieves and ne'er do wells, Hawke and his posse don't hesitate to stab them up, with companions Isabela and Varric stepping into help where appropriate.

Being helped by sentient piles of poo, are we?

Combos, eh? I wonder how the pessimists will use that information... Anyway, I like the idea of regular attacks being combined with special attacks. Arcane Warriors are going to be really fun if they're included!

don't you know?! we're console players who don't know any better, we're also 12 yr olds regardless of our age and we're clearly inferior in every way just for prefering to play on a console.

ps: this statement was brought to you by sarcasm ltd.:wizard:

 This:

While you're waiting for these moves to recharge, you can still hammer the A button for a chain of basic attacks...

You've got to be kidding me. If anything like that makes it into the PC version turning it into a click fest, DA2 has finally turned into a fantasy first person shooter. :crying:
