Anyway, after doing that my Mass Effect 2 will not connect to cerberus network, telling me its timing out, oddly enough, i checked my DLC and aparently my 'Cerberus Network' DlC was missing, and I have had to pay to re-download this small file (which takes the p*ss tbh) and still my game will not connect to the cerberus network.
I then cleard the cache of the xbox to see if that helped, no it didnt.
Having been a PC player for years, im now suddenly regretting this xbox, as I feel powerless to try and fix the issue myself, and there is no way i can test the connection.
All my current DLC works fine, so im also curious, what detrimental effect will having a broken cerberus connection have? will it mean in future I cannot buy any further DLC?
Regards

Im gutted that re-buying the cerberus network file didnt fix the issue. It just really bugs me that it wont connect for some reason lol I want to help biowear make better games ! ><
thanks for the reply Salz99, its put my mind at rest, as i didnt really know what this would do for future DLC, but if i understand you right, the game will still allow me to download and purchase DLC without my 'cerberus connection' working.

xbox guide > account management > download history
then file through everything you downloaded and you will find it there

if you're having a problem with getting access to the cerberus network dlc through the in-game menue then go onto this site
profile > registered game promotions
it will tell you what profiles the DLC is connected to and if your gamertag is not showing up then you need to either reconnect it or go to the EA help desk and they will sort it out for you.

After the license transfer, one must use the "download history" to download all DLC items again, although if the items are existent on the storage device, the downoad is a few bytes of date (the license), instead of huge downloads. this includes the Cerberus Network.
Because of the tie-in with the bioware social network, and the EA network, it's better to use the in-game interface for these downloads, but it's not ONLY way to do it. As thepiebaker pointed out, ensure that the correct EA account is being used.

That's what I did when I upgraded to a 120 GB hard drive this past summer, since I didn't have a transfer cable (my saves were stored on an MU). I just re-downloaded all the DLC through the download history list, including the Cerberus Network itself. It worked just fine.

Hello there, i have just registered to make a reply here to say I too have this problem, I bought a 360 elite about a month back, and had mass effect 2 bundled in, its been running and connecting to cerberus network totally fine, untill today, after doing a clear out of my harddrive and deleting some old game files for games like Assasins Creed, Need for Speed and Mass Effect 1 (which i played for about 5 mins). I was careful about it and made sure not to confuse my Mass Effect 1 and 2 files.

I totally hear what some of you are saying, but as for the others...please don't comment if this has not happened to you personally. You're just not grasping what is happening.
Now, that being said...please Bioware, look into this issue, as I myself would like to play Mass Effect 2 again, in it's full effect. I don't believe I should have to pay...again, the price of admission here. I paid for the collector's edition, so I feel I should have the right to get what I've paid for. I'm sorry that I only have the 20 Gig HD, and that when I need to clear things out to make way for new and shiny, I get rid of the old. But that doesn't mean I want to get rid of it forever, hence I kept the game on my shelf.
I'd love to hear some form of feed back here. Thank you.

Okay, to clear things up. This doesn't NOT work. The download history is there...correct! However, if you attempt to redownload the content from the collector's edition, you will not be able to. Yes it's the same account, yes it was bought new and yes, Microsoft is stating "You have Downloaded the DLC" but is also saying" No, you will not be able to download it again, without buying it for the 1200 Points."

I bought the Collector's Edition as well, but the Cerberus Network is strangely not coming up on my download history. Great...this is a bunch of BS. I've played this game a lot because I really enjoyed it and it's my favourite game, and now I'm having problems with this stupid network.
