First off i know there are multiple topice for this problem so im prety sure i dont have to explain the issue all im asking for is and official bioware reply, as looking at the vast amount of topics not 1 has and answer from bioware staff which from a very popular and frustrating bug is a bit dissapointing. I'm not trying to flame here im just looking to find out when or how this will be sorted as i dont believe i should have to reload saves to do this as thats not how the game was intended to be played. I'm sure i'm not the only person on this great community who feels the same way and just wants the guys who made this great game to give us an answer we greatfully deserve.

P.S i have searched extensivley over forum posts to look for an official reply but  have not found one. if there is i apologise and this can be moved. Thanks :)

I take it as you are concertrating on da2 you will no longer take the time to advise paying customers of your games that are still on sale? im not unreasonable but 9 days is tbh a joke for a mod to write a few words on how it will be fixed without the need for save game glitching. If there is a problem not being able to reply to this bug please provide me with your complaints team that will deal with uk trading standards issues. thanks :P

If you would have taken the time to search this question has been answer many times.. Answer is that you must Get 1,000 darkspawn kills with your main character. And that pretty much mean that you need to do a Solo Run through

I'd really be interested to hear an "official" resopnse to this, also. I don't do multi-player stuff so this is one of the few games that I have a chance to get 100% completion. So after buying all of the DLCs and the guides to finish it all, I find out that there is a bug for the 500 and 1000 ds kills. Nice job guys. Really, really pissed about this.

I'm calling Bioware on Monday AM and I'm not getting off the phone til they tell me how to get 100% completion on their product. And I will post here what I am told.

I had completed 4 play throughs and made it a point to hold my team back on the last play through and still didn't get either achievment. I finally got both the 500 kill and 1000 kill achievement by following this advice from Belmat22 posted on another board.

It turns out that Blight Queller worked fine before one of the title updates was released. So here's what to do:

* Delete the title updates. Go to System Settings on the Xbox Dashboard, then Memory. Highlight your primary memory unit, then press Y, Select 'Clear System Cache' from the menu.
 * Load up Dragon Age: Origins, and when it asks you to install the latest update, say no. This means you'll have to play offline, but that's not such a huge deal with this game.
 * Play through the game as per usual until you get to the Darkspawn attack on Denerim. Go to the Alienage, save, then tell your party to wait, as only main character kills count. Kill all the darkspawn you can, then reload the last save.
* Repeat last step

As the Darkspawn kills are written to a file seperate to your save file,
 reloading does not lose you the kills. However, when the title updates
are deleted, so is this file, so you have to start again.
.

Yes a lot of people have had problems with glitches from patch 1.0.1. What you want to do is go to your xbox settings and go to memory then choose to clear cache on your memory device. All this does is remove online updates, it doesnt delete any of ur data. Then go into origins, make sure to say no to the update. You will be kicked off xbox live but that doesnt matter. Then load your game and play until you get the achievement. The fastest way I found is to replay the alienage part during the final battle. I averaged 60 kills per run and got both achievements in less than an hour. Then if you want to play the DLC all you have to do is sign into live and re enter origins and say yes to the updates. Then all your origins stuff is back to normal. Hope this helps!!

I too completed 3 fresh play-through(s), two on normal difficulty and the last one on hard.  It was not until I JP2NV's solution and save each completion of the Alienage Attack after completing it solo. Doing it in hard mode made it faster since more darkspawn will spawn.
