- When I first got Mass Effect, I downloaded some DLC based on a code card in my game (Zaeed, etc). I think I also
- I played for a bit.
- I bought some of the DLC with points (shadow broker, etc)
- I bought a new xbox
- I transferred the hard disk data using the transfer kit
- I used the Xbox license migration tool to migrate my licenses to the new xbox
- I re-downloaded the DLC. Some of the items I wasn't able to download via the xbox website, so I went to the xbox and downloaded them all from the "new content available" menu in Mass Effect.
- When I pop up the Load menu, I get a dialog that states that some of my save files are corrupt and it asks me if I want to delete them. There are some saves missing in my saves list. I think the saves that are missing are saves made after the point I bought DLC (3) above, but I'm not sure.
- I think - OK, I'm only missing a little bit of my game, I'll just replay that part.
- I create a new save from the last available point I can load.
- The new save is also "corrupt" and unavailable to be viewed in the load screen. I'm essentially unable to continue my game (unless I finish it all in one sitting without dying)
- If I make a new game, the saves seem to work.
I'm about to go try deleting the DLC in the system settings and re-downloading it again, but that doesn't seem like that ought to make a difference.
Can somebody help me play this game again without starting over?
