Hi! I've got an EA id under the name of "ImperialAlex" / email "ImperialAlex@gmail.com"
I used that account to create a BioWare Community account with the same display name "ImperialAlex"/email "ImperialAlex@gmail.com" (following the instructions on how to donwload MassEffect:BDtS). Then I used that account to log into social.bioware.com, however I was informed that ImperialAlex was already gone - well, bad luck, I guess but not a Problem in itself (I just added an underscore, yes, I know, I'm very creative)
Out of curiosity, I searched social.bioware for the display name "ImperialAlex" and found that profile. Now, however, when I click on "View BioBoards Profile" in that users social.bioware account, it takes me back to *my* BioBoards Profile.
I'm guessing that's not supposed to happen? Any idea if that's all that's going to be mixed up or whether there are any more serious problems with this situation?

BR
Alex

Have you ever tried logging in to the BSN website using your EA id?

I am currently logged in via my EA account-based account (trying to change my BSN password gives me "go to EA's account settings by clicking here"), just as my BioBoards account is also created with/from an EA account.

I guess I don't really grasp the situation. If you had an EA Account before ever coming to the BSN website, then you wouldn't need to sign up for a new account on BSN. You could just use your existing EA Account. If you contact EA, you'll probably find that you have both ImperialAlex and ImperialAlex_ as EA Accounts now.

Or maybe I have that all wrong. I always thought they should have made the sign up process a lot clearer in regards to how it is associated with the EA Account.

Luckily, my EA account wasn't influenced at all. I just decided to go and start a fresh with a different username, now the link between BSN and BioBoards seems to work like it's supposed to.
I totally agree that there should be a bit more of an explanation on how the whole EA account thing works and how the BSN and the BioBoards accounts are linked.
