But, they have Qunari Darkspawn (Ogres). Since Broodmothers are made from females of a species, and female Qunari (as far as I know) don't leave Par Vollen, they must have occasional Darkspawn raids. As such, it does not make sense that zero female Fex have been captured.

Maybe they're an extremely insular and xenophobic people who live underground or deep in the jungle or whatever. We know literally nothing about them, other than "they live on Par Vollen".

Qunari look like demons now so I'd say we're no longer lacking in that department.

Well, at least make it a race whose soldiers are made up of females in their majority to offset the maleness of Qunari.

I'm not expecting much of anything other than another generic fantasy race like the qunari turned into.

If that's true, then it's an excellent find. They might be a scavenger type of species. Curious indeed...

I'm sorry to ask I know that this has probably been asked before on this thread but does anyone know anything about the Fex? Also does anyone know the link that confirms this? I know it's legit, but I want to see it myself. Thanks.

The Fex is the sentient, native species of Par Vollen

The Fex are almost a complete unknown. If it wasn’t for a Q&A with David Gaider via USTREAM, we probably still wouldn’t even know they exist.

Lead writer David Gaider revealed that Par Vollen is home to another people – the Fex.

They are very foreign looking and hence why they have not appeared in many “foreign lands.

Some of us have been speculating how they looks like from lizardmen to crystal golems to dragon people to foxes or me  who think they are some sort of cat people.

Something we talk about long ago was The Qunari and Fex are currently at war. Either that battle is something of a stalemate or the Qunari are actually losing that fight, hence why they seek to expand to other lands.

I looked "fex" up on dictionary.com: -fex  a combining form meaning “maker,” used in the formation of compound words: spinifex.
Origin:
< Latin, equivalent to -fec- (combining form of facere to make) + -s nominative singular ending. See -fic.
So 'fex' means "maker".

Interesting, eh?

Makes me wonder if there are any other races we don't yet know about... I don't expect to learn about any more in DA3, but it would be nice if we would encounter other species throghout the DA series (which I hope will last much longer than just 3 games).

If they could just settle on an artstyle and stick with it, they should be able to add so much more in shorter time. Look at ME for example, the turians use the same resources in ME3 as in ME1. Assuming that they go for a more realistic look now on something like the frostbite engine (just a rumor for now, but still) they will need to redo almost all the resources from scratch - again.

Only exception being the qunari. They are pretty much the only thing DA2 changed that I hope remains in DA3.

Maybe...the Qunari came from somewere and because of their size they must have come from big place with open terrains. Who knows what kind of neighbours they had there?  ;)

Players have only discover very little of this fantastic world!... I should stop this nonsenses.. so many doughts of this company making something actually ...good.

I do like Thedas in fact I love Ferelden but.. I don't know all this shiit are happening and Hawke was left in the freaking dark.... arg so ******, I don't know why i keep coming back here.. I am so fking stupid.

I would say that at the very least the Fex "may" share a design of humanoid+(A animal/Creature that is native it a lush tropical habitat). They could be lizard/iguana like possibly, snake/monkey/leopard/frog/crocodile.

I am not really a expert on the subject, but I would say as a educated guess that could be very likely.

Then again this is the Dragon Age universe. No telling what their Tropical Rainforests look like.

We don't need Skyrim-like Khajit races, the races in DA are all good but I don't mind if we get 1 or 2 more races but no cat-people. A race, It shouldn't look like a humanoid race (humans, elves and dwarves) maybe some mystic race that never existed in any of RPGames and do not come with dark elves.

The rise of the Nug-army is coming...^_^
