"Fex" sounds very cat-like to me. We'll probably meet some kind of Thundercat race *laughs at the thought*.
People around here seem to have a problem with animal races, sounds really odd to me.

They should know that having an animal race doesn't automatically make a game high fantasy.
Which is what I heard was most peoples problem with an animal race, destroying the whole idea of a "dark fantasy epic" and all.

Now my own wish is that the Fex are some kind of bear people with siberian husky fur.




The patterns on their fur would really go well with the Qunari tattoos theme.
Seeming as they would come from Par Vollen, a jungle island most likely, basing them on the spectacled bear or giant panda would fit this theme.

Agreed, although I really like the idea of an angelic race (), Fex just doesn't sound right for that..
It's more the name of a tiny hyperactive race or a fox-like race



I found this dialogue between Sten and Zevran

we just know the name and where they come from
they could at least give us a little more information...

"Fex" is obviously a conjunction of two words with the same meaning and meant to imply something specific about the behavior of the race. My guess is a race of rabbit people (or some other rodent) that has a low reproductive success rate. Thus they are usually getting it on all the time. And this would fit the trend of most of the "new things" in DA][.

Each time I read it, I kept getting reminded of Will Ferrell's character "The Fez" in the second Austin Powers movie...

Will Ferrell played Mustafa in tne Austin Powers 1 & 2, Fez was Wilmer Valderrama's character on That 70's Show.

Fex could be an abbreviation of the race name. Fex-something, Something-fex. Fex could be the name the Qunari give the race based on something in the Qun?



As much as I'd like to see something 'out there' it wouldn't really fit with DA lore so far. All we have is humanoid races (unless I'm forgetting someone).



Having said that, I'm voting for Wood Sprites. Not enough Sprites about imho. The idea of the deadly serious Qunari cohabitating with Sprites tickles my funny bone..

The fifth, or 'E', tribe apparently zergs their opponents. Bioware was so taken by their fighting style that they are planning a whole gaming franchise centred on the "Mass E-Fex".
